Haha gotcha. As @TenBeers pointed out, that is the admin protecting/sensoring us.

Were it an item of a more critical nature I would have probably steered away from them. but for a length of extrusion... I can chance it.

This is quality unbiased feedback, thank you. There is a bit of bias in Knoxville for obvious reasons haha

a Yari works as well, so does anyone have a Yari, Lyrik, or Pike they'd like to let go of on the cheap if not free for my little project.
Any build works and any condition works.

I've got a set of WAO Unions on i9 101 for sale.
Decided I didn't need two sets since their dang near indestructible it seems.

Anyone have the inside scoop on the typical shock rebuild lead times from the Fox Factory? Sent my Float X in before Christmas and no updates on where it stands in the process or when to expect it back. Luckily I have a different bike to ride in the mean time (thank god I got a fatbike for the winter season), and its not like I would be riding the full suspension even if I had it back at the moment - we are in an early mud season at the moment and I'd rather beat up on the rigid frame with minimal moving components.

When I dropped the bike off at the shop to get the shock sent in, the guy behind the counter asked why I haven't switched over to a coil yet. With the technical runs in New England I have been thinking about it more than I care to admit. I could put on some carbon bars and offset the weight of a coil, but in reality that doesn't even register on the pro/con list.

In reality, I'm on the fence about you going for it. If you love it, I'm going to have to start looking at coils and I'm pretty sure my wife would kill me.

Also, say hello to the newest bike which will be added to the stable:

Poseidon Redwood drop bar. Just ordered, should be here in a few days. I want to start getting some higher mileage runs in this summer (not on pavement). Hopefully this allows that to happen.

On the topic of coils, what would be a comparable coil to a zeb? I have a zeb new in the box with a little more travel than my fox for my patrol. if i swap forks, i should swap shocks so they match right? do i go super deluxe? then i need to buy a spring right?

Nice! Poseidon is great. My coworker bought this bike for his wife, said she loves it. It's really a lot of bike for the price! I bought my girlfriend the dropbar x, and everything is great except for the brakes but I have seen people upgrade them to hydraulic instead of mechanic for 60 bucks or so on youtube.

I have a Redwood and can attest to the shit brakes - they work, but require a lot of effort to lock up the tire. Seems the general upgrade path is to put in some jagwire compressionless housing and throw on a set of Juin Tech F1 mechanical/hyrdo calipers. Can be done for about $200 total but my poor bank cards are still smoking from this year of bike purchases.

Would love to go with a whole shimano braking system, but with the brifters and the micro x advent derailleur, it would require a whole drivetrain upgrade as well.

I decided to get back on mine after nearly 30years. Bringing it back to life and getting the required gear for riding and transport is slowly breaking me right now. I cannot imagine I would be doing it at all if the expense of a NEW bike was in the mix...... Wow, just, wow! haha

I told my wife that it is an expensive hobby to get into - but if I wanted to do something else for my fitness other than biking, that hobby would be expensive as well. At least I am not paying for a monthly gym membership.

IMO the newest super deluxe ultimate coil punched above its price with the HBO.

Yeah that's a lot of money for the complete upgrade, I have a Canyon Grail 6 with Shimano brakes and it's wayyy better. The shifters are super nice and very crisp for the price and I enjoy the 1x on the Poisdeon

32, but keep in mind they are superboost.

So you need an Arrival, a Pivot, or a Knolly.. Not sure who else uses the spacing besides DH bikes.

Iwas doing some searching on the brakes and may try the compressionless housings. According to YouTube University, it makes a big difference and is a lot cheaper than a full brake upgrade.

Yeah. Hub spacing was going to be my next question.

Evil is another one that it uses super boost. I think Devinci as well. Or some dh bikes.

Haha! I do have a grip 36 170mm just chilling right now.
