What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

I, uh, made it through episode 3.

 

The Tulsa king, and mayor of Kingstown best shows I’ve seen in a while.

 

It went on and on. Too much.

 

Haven't got that far yet, so far very good.

 

The last of us Episode 3: Thought it was great. Really enjoyed the back story, and the acting. I am not homophobic like some of these comments allude to so didn't bother me much

 

Whatever. Glad you enjoyed the back story Ryan.

 

What really got me was that the episode had some very old and familiar themes but remixed in a very different way. A love story at the end of the world. Gotta admit, the writing impressed me on that one.

Also I had just watched that actor go full manic in White Lotus, it was such a wildly different performance that it took me a minute to go "oh yeah, it's that guy."

 

Speaking of, I just finished season 2 of White Lotus.

On season 1 it took me halfway through the finale before I finally guessed who the victim was going to be. On season 2 I had it guessed about halfway through the season, but wow, what a fantastic final scene.

 

Haha that was the first thing I thought too when they introduced Frank....is that the dude from White Lotus??

Agreed. Written well, and the two main actors did a great job. Lol, yeah totally diff than white lotus which I liked a lot too

 

Guess I’m gonna have to go back and take another run at it.

 

Just fast forward until Mandalorian punches the code in at the gate. Although the scene when the fat one's perimeter defense kicks in is good.

I don't like the narrative style so much, but the case is amazingly weird and interesting.

 

I don't enjoy watching dudes kissing and all that, but I also don't care that much that it makes me sick (lol). If you can do that it really is a good story and told well.

How did the one dude grow the strawberry patch right next to the house and the other dude didn't notice? Maybe when he was recovering from the gut shot.

Rewatching The Legend of Korra, is it a kids show, maybe. But it's pretty violent and the themes are pretty adult I think

 

I didn’t play the game so honestly idk. But I assume while he recovered he planted it.

 

Okay okay, just watched episode 3 and it was really good. I just got spooked the first time.

I didn't play it either, but from what I gather in the game Bill doesn't die that way and joins along with Joel and Ellie for awhile. Bill is gay but it's not confirmed that him and Frank were ever in a relationship so much of the episode was a creative liberty taken on the series' part.

Personally I thought it was really well done, was a great backstory on its own and it tied in well with Joel and Ellie's story at the end.

Having not played the game I'm not married to the idea that it needs to be 100% true to the source, I'm just enjoying the show for what it is. I probably wouldn't mind anyway as it adds more to the story which is nice. If it were supposed to be just like the game scene for scene then why even make it into a show?
