Good morning all! I'm one of those folks that truly couldn't care less about sports in general.Temps in my area were above normal again so I took off and went for about a hundred mile motorcycle ride. Hope all of you had a nice weekend.

 

Good morning. We cut back the 13 Knock out rose bushes yesterday before the rain came. Made up some flank steak soft tacos for dinner last night. They came out really well. Off to the gym this morning then I have a PT appointment. Slow day. I might be compiling medical bills or make tomato soup. I think soup will win out.

Good morning. It’s a balmy 5 degrees this morning with a couple of inches powder. I guess I’ll push that around with a shovel. I only use the snowblower when the snow has some weight to it. I’ll wait until the salt shaker comes by and the kids get to school before I go on my usually walking route. 3 layers this morning I guess. Glad I figured out the heater core issue before this cold snap.

Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! It's an ugly 33* with some rain, and mostly it will be that way until Thursday. Under various Winter Storm Watches and Advisories until then, mostly for icing. More likely up by @roundrocktom than here, but they decided not to leave us out.

The brats were great, and the black and white team played too much in both games. It's just never great when you see calls that you never see happen. And it was a shame that SF lost Purdy so soon in that game, because it wasn't the same afterwards. Chiefs Bengals was exciting to the end (again), and I feel bad for Ossai (UT Ex) for that last play.

 

TV program “The Addams Family”…. The preteen girl Wednesday: Lisa Loring is gone. Anyone not feeling old knowing that she was 64 years old?
On second thought, most of you youngsters weren’t even born yet when she was on that show.

Good morning, Mark. You are up early this morning.

Looks like it is rain and temps in the low 40's today. The northeast will take the brunt of the weather front and I would like to thank them. Today is the only day this week without a medical appointment of some type. Should be an easy dinner tonight too. Going to try an instant pot recipe of onions, potatoes, and polish sausage.

Just worked the cobwebs out at the gym. After last week with the storms I never got to go.
Coldest weather in years showing up this weekend. Not going to be fun.
I get to try out something this weekend.
Just finished the assembly a few days ago.

Yup. Nothing redeeming about ice storms. At all. Going to put a fire on in a while. Was going to rebook my cancelled appointments, but those folks are there either! Nothing bad at the house yet, but they cancelled trash pickup and school. Some ice on the birdfeeder. "Grid is great"; outages are local.

 

If that is a ventless clothes dryer attachment, I would discourage its use. Dryers are normally vented to the outdoors due to the extremely high humidity produced. All the water in your clothes is vaporized and then condenses on walls and ceilings. It is definitely not sufficient to simply open a window in the laundry room. In my personal experience, every room had to be wire brushed, sanded, primed, and repainted due to flaking and peeling paint from the humidity.

 

Well I understand what you’re saying however, there is no heat in that part of the basement. I now have a hybrid hot water tank that uses the moisture to heat my tank in the same space and will take the moisture out of the air.
It is a very good point and as such I will be monitoring the humidity in that section of the house.
