    About a month ago, I had a shipment of cigars delivered by US Postal Service. I buy from an online auction site about every 4 - 5 weeks. The package didn't fit in my mailbox, so they left it sitting on the ground next to my mailbox. This was a couple days before New Years, my wife and I were away for the holidays. By the time we got home, there was no package.... Our driveway is maybe 200 yards long, and the driver decided not to leave the package at the house where it would be out of sight. So I went to the local Post Office, spoke with the local Post Master and the carrier, they confirmed it was left on the ground at the mailbox. It was insured for $100, so I asked about filing a claim. The Post Master said "you certainly can, but from my experience, we'll do an investigation, but since we delivered to the correct address, most likely the claim will be denied." I was pissed, as that was $200 worth of cigars down the drain. I called the cigar auction house to let them know, and ask if they could send my future packages via a different shipping company. They also immediately said they would send me a full replacement order at no cost to me, and they would pursue the claim with the Postal Service. About 3 days later, UPS delivered me a replacement package. I was stoked, I had no idea the company would replace the stolen order, I just wanted to ask if they would use a different shipper for my future orders. They did, however, add an special delivery instruction to my account "Please deliver to the HOUSE", and sure enough, the next order had that instruction printed on the label.

    Also, to the credit of the Ppostal Service, ever since I spoke with the PM and carrier, they now always drive up to the house to leave anything that doesn't fit into our mailbox :)

    Thanks, Professor :duh::rofl::rofl::rofl::fistbump:

    Good morning. It’s Tuesday, or what I refer to as garbage day. Not far enough away from Monday to be hopeful or close enough to the weekend to excited. Happy Tuesday! Think I’ll go roll out the trash! Have a great day. Stay Well…Stay Safe

    I believe if I had read the books first I probably would have had trouble getting into the series. You catch a glimpse here and there that it’s the same characters in the books. But they strayed pretty far. And the scenery is actually upper New Mexico in the series just another thing not like the books probably easier to film in winter there. It’s opened me up to a trip to the area. I’ve been below there going out 40 but I never turned north now I’ve looked at a loop through there and on up into Colorado at some point.

    Good afternoon crew! It's very gloomy and a bit windy outside, I will need to fire up the woodstove when I gets home, it's going to chilly tonight. ( Not Montana chilly, but chilly for the mid-atlantic)
    Ironically, Tuesday is trash night in my hood. I usually only drag out the can every other week, I don't generate too much garbage.

    I once lived in Cheyenne for a year, I didn't care for it. Laramie had some scenery and to the north towards the Idaho and Montana boarder it was beautiful.

    We camped our way out through there a couple years back. We came in through Scott's bluff NE and then to Dubois Wy and on to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen!

    I've had issues with almost all of the carriers at one time or another. I can somewhat understand it, as my driveway is 3/4 of a mile long. But FedEx is the worst! In my view, common carriers are paid to deliver to my house, not the mailbox, that's only for the USPS. But we've had FedEx leave several packages for me and my neighbor, who shares most of my driveway on the ground next to the road. You can't see my house from the road. UPS has only screwed up once like that, but they have a regular driver, and it was a relief driver that screwed up. I've come to an accommodation with the USPS driver for packages, but FedEx almost never has the same driver delivering on my road. So it is hard to impress upon them the error of their ways. I've left several "Zero" reviews of FedEx's service.
    upload_2023-1-31_12-22-26.jpg
    I can literarily say going to check the mail is uphill both ways because you have to go over one hill and climb another to get to the road. If it were not for the mailboxes, you wouldn't know anyone lived down my driveway. Luckily we're on a road with little non-local traffic, but I still think it's irresponsible to just leave packages next to the road.
