    I read over what Drew linked, I was going to say heat is the biggest thing with aluminum. Too hot, it'll melt.

    I thought so, too, but aluminum has a slightly higher melting point than brass.

    Was just looking at this milling machine and the input says 230/460V. It also says 4 pole. We have it wired 3 phase. Can it be wired single phase 220V?
