I own 13 motorcycle helmets, I keep buying new helmets searching for the perfect one.
I have 8 full face, 2 motocross, 1 modular and 2 half helmets
The best ones are the full face that are lightweight and less wind noise.
My favorate is the Suomy Vandal and the KBC Force Blade RR
I also Have a Harley Davidson half helmet I wear a lot riding my scooter, I get grief wearing a genuine HD helmet while riding a Japanese scooter, but its a very good high quality helmet that fits me like a glove.
The rest of my helmets are the HJC and cheaper brands, I have a itching on buying that top brand $500 helmet but I may not like it, you can't take a helmet for a test ride before buying it.

One advantage about wearing a half helmet is it doesn't cover up my face, a full face helmet covers my face and my good looks.
I look good wearing a half helmet, but I don't have the front protection if I would fall on my face.

Hey BartStar , a bit off topic , but remember your rant in the TSB thread , where you said anybody that needed an extra leafspring was a wus , and that you could haul thousands of pounds of firewood and coal in your non-TSB truck and that at the end of the world all of the women would flock to you because you were so manly ?

    Remember that ?

Well how exactly does that jive with " I ride a Japanese scooter " ?

so 13 helmets for a scooter?

you know back in early 01 or so i used to be into competitive scooter racing. My friends and I built a dirt track and we got some yard sale mopeds.. Mine was the fastest until it ran away on me and i ditched it into a brick wall.. the point of this is.. 13 helmets for a scooter? rather then 500 bucks, maybe you should invest in something a little more motorcycle then just a crotch rocket engine

I wonder which of these 13 helmets he's gonna wear when food prices sky rocket and he has to go be a hunter/gatherer and bring back a deer on his scooter?

And why would you spend 500 bucks on a helmet with food prices going up? I'd be more concerned about the cost of a tin of coffee!

    Crotch scooter FTW! :burnrubber:

I have owned all types of motorcycles in the past, I got the scooter cause one of my friends that owned a Suzuki Burgman Scooter turned me on to one, the Suzuki Dealers hate me, so I was forced to buy the Yamaha Tmax Scooter instead.
I use my scooter as my gas saving commuter vehicle, plus it has under the seat and rear trunk storage space that I can fit a shopping cart full of food inside the Scooter!
This scooter is faster than any cruiser bike, it has the power and perfomance simular to a sportbike-crotch rocket, plus its automatic, no clutch, no gear shift, I can even hold a cup of coffee while riding it (even has a cup holder)
NOBODY and I MEAN "NOBODY" can ride an automatic scooter better than me!
