    My dad, too.

I only started questioning it when I came across posts about messing up the tires but I think that was only for changing sides with directional tires.

That and the owner's manual shows front to back only, but who reads that pesky thing?

Only directional tires can't be crossed without remounting.

They're not directional tires, and they're all the same size. I go 'X' then side to side, then back to front, then 'X'. IIRC, the manual says side to side, but... who reads manuals?

Was it front to back? Okay, I knew it was all preachy about it, couldn't remember which direction though.

I always cross the fronts and move them to the rear, with rears straight to the front.

But I found this diagram, so I guess it should depend on the type of vehicle.

I haven't hunted it down myself in the manual but I've seen plenty of screenshots diagramming front to back only.

I was planning on the bottom-right, not dually rotation. :)

Same here. If they're not directional I cross them.

    No.
230 volt 3 phase is common in older or smaller industrial buildings, still 3 phase though.

Most 3 phase motors have 9 wires allowing them to be wired for high or low voltage.

In the early days of steel belted radial tires the superstition was that rotating tires in the X fashion that was common with bias ply tires would cause the steel belts to fly apart. Keeping the radial tires on the same side of the car "prevented" this.

It is more important that they get rotated regularly then where they get positioned.

That said I still keep them on the same side.
