    I know I've seen this somewhere but either the coffee isn't working yet or I'm just having a bad day, but I can't find the thread that showed the fuse location for the remote power tailgate lock.

    Mine isn't working - actually not sure it ever worked - but was told it was installed when I purchased my truck. I guess I'd better pull the access cover to make sure it's really there.

    Would someone please tell me where the fuse is located?

    It should be the same fuse as for the power door locks as it uses the power door lock switch. That's if it's OEM and not some aftermarket hack job. If you have a separate switch for it, it's not an OEM installation.

    The fuses on mine are the harness near the connectors at the kick panel.

    It's OEM - sounds like it's trying to throw but won't engage.

    It doesn't sound like a fuse. Since it's a 2020 it's likely out of warranty. Depending on how handy your are, you can removed the tailgate inner panel and see what happens when the switch is thrown. You'll need a helper, of course.

    I installed mine back when I got the truck, so I don't remember the details.

    It will show you what the tailgate lock set up should look like. You can compare that to yours to see if something is loose or fell off.

    That sounds like an actuator issue. Check in the TG for sure.

    I took my truck into the dealership - turned out either the actuator was improperly installed or a nut came loose at some point causing the lock to fail to engage. After a bit of discussion they agreed that, since it was dealer installed as part of the original purchase, it was covered under the 36 month/36k mile Toyota Warranty. As it turned out, today was the exact date of my 36 month purchase anniversary! :eek::thumbsup: They put in the new actuator and it works like a champ.
