I know the car is gonna get more play if it goes much further than it is now. Have already started mixing car/truck usage but I really needed to because the car has barely been being used enough to keep it alive and not have flat spots on the tires from sitting in same place. I will carpool instead of spending 400 a month just to go back and forth to work. Been loosely preparing for that shit too. Costs 9.00 a day to go to work and back in the truck at 3.00 a gallon as it is, now we're going towards 4.00.

We have been using our 4cl Outback much more lately for road trips and for other-than-work related trips to the "big" town (20+ miles away). Gas prices so far have not really hurt me as much as the concern that this time, prices may not be coming back down. The idea that this global chaos bs might/will become the new normal is what really effs me up right now. :)

Its not going to get any better. I remember when it was .45 a gallon. I guess I am showing my age. But I do enjoy My toy, it still makes me giggly. Not happy about the current price, but what can you do...:ballchain:

What's wrong with America this place ain't no free country they tell us what we can and cannot do by law all this firepower yet the people in office are little bitches they are too pussy to take Saudi Arabia hostage and force prices down just how they tell us what we can do. I have to ride my stupid ninja now because of this, no more cozy heater in the morning and relaxing on my way home from work listening to a fave song. Fuck my life, no more mods for me for a while till those a-holes get off their high horse and bring the price back where it's supposed to be. Not to be off topic for a second but I hung out with a prince from Saudi one night and he said he could fill up 20-30 of hi vehicles in his fleet for less than 7.00 us total for all those vehicles, Even supreme. Where did USA mess up so bad cause other countries hate us so much they will screw all Americans in any way they can. Obviously we have our troops wasting time in the wrong countries for the wrong reasons, if we should fight for anything it should be to fight for our favorite freedoms Americans love their automobiles and shouldn't have to change their driving habits because of some rich assholes that can never have enough money, even though they have enough money to never have to lift a finger for generations of family members!FTME (,fuck the middle east)

Are you suggesting invading Saudi Arabia would lower gas prices ?

Its 3.35 here. i have stopped taking dumb trips places just because I'm bored. And my bicycle will be here next week so I'll most likely just cruise that to the office since its only 3 miles up the street and i can stop at the bar on the way home and get front row parking during happy hour with the bike :D lol

    Does Plasti-Dip count as a mod ?
It's the speculators in the markets driving up prices. IT's always been that way. Guarantee that Exxon / Mobil and the other crooked bastards will post record profits next quarter. The crooks on Wall Street get big bonuses too.

I still drive like I usually do. Can't do anything else.

I know stay in the slow lane on purpose to keep my RPMs at 1900 or below. Preferably I try to stay at around 1800RPMs which is about 65mph for me with my lift and all.

4 bucks a gallon blows and I have realized I drive 5 min longer on my hwy commute by driving slower and get about 2mpg better

Gasoline is more expensive than milk, think about how tough it is to process a gallon of milk, you spend money to feed the cows, milk them, then you have to pasturize the milk, then a tanker truck that runs on diesel fuel picks up the milk from the farmer takes it to the dairy for more processing, that costs money, then its packaged, then sent to the food store with another truck running on diesel fuel.
so when the cost of diesel fuel goes up, it has to cost more for that gallon of milk, feed for the moo-moo's is grown with fertilizer made from crude oil.
Wait till this late summer and early fall, you'll see sticker shock at your local food store, budget 50% of your wages to pay for food!
