@Downshift did you paint them for aesthetic purposes or rust concerns? Not sure what to do with mine when they arrive in a few days.

Currently, we are redoing our whole mail/notification system therefore we do not email customers if there is a delay in production. Lead times also were doubled due to the holidays. We are caught up now but shipping is going to be a problem for the next couple of days due to the weather! Still have a full crew here packing stuff to ensure that we can get it out of our door on Friday or Monday!

I painted them for both reasons — I like the black look on my all black TRD Pro, and importantly I wanted them to be safe from future years of winter brine and trail grime. After cleaning the bare metal, I put several coats and dried really nice. These will hold up well and deter shenanigans.

Another bonus of these is that it doesn’t block off your transmission for service. That Cat-Shield I had before was one of the first on the market and served a purpose last year, but I hated how much modification it required plus was dreading having to deal with it during future maintenance. These CaliRaised ones are perfect and feel like they’re OEM.

Hopefully CaliRaised LEDs new customer communication system will improve. I only mentioned the communication issues because it bothered me to just take my money and order and it then felt like it fell into a void for several weeks. About a month in is when I sent my first ping… As an Operations Manager myself of a high volume repair facility, I am a stickler for keeping our customers in the know with their repairs, parts, and statuses regularly. I’m glad the product CaliRaised LED make is quality, American Made, and I always like supporting fellow Texas businesses too.

Installed my shields a couple weeks ago (2019 TRD OR). Easy install and everything fit perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

"Stainless steel contains chromium, and when exposed to oxygen it forms a thin invisible layer called chromium oxide. Rust can form when this layer is damaged from exposure to cleaners, chloride, high humidity, high salinity environments, and/or mechanical abrasions." underside of a truck qualifies :). high temp paint, as previously posted, won't help much with abrasions but will with salt etc.

did you just let the paint dry and then install with the intent of the cats heating up and curing the shields for you, or did you cure the paint on the shields ahead of time somehow? I’ve never used high heat paint before and want to do it right.

The shields look AMAZING in black. Personally would be my choice too. What did you do prep wise before applying the rustoleum?

My truck will rust to the ground before these rust out so no paint needed for me

I was looking at the web page on my phone where the lead time is right under the images. But now that I look at the same page on my computer, it's at the very top of the page... and very easy to miss IMHO. Folks are used to getting things from Amazon and elsewhere pretty quickly. Waiting a month or so is pretty unusual. I think I'd have it in a lower, more prominent place on the product page, and then again on the checkout page to keep the "when's it gonna ship" inquiries and disappointment to a minimum. But that's just me. ;)

Ordered mine in the middle of November last year, I am receiving yet another “Sorry, delayed again” email. I am starting to feel this might be a joke.
