Good morning! Currently 25 degrees and icy, with more ice coming today. Tacoma has handled it like a champ.

Similar situation for us. We have 9 acres, our house is at the opposite end of the property from the street. This is my office window view, the red line is our driveway, it keeps going up-left to the street, which is not visible, but is in the tree line, about 300 yards from the house in a straight line. House is not visible from the street. We're about 4 miles out of town, and other than delivery traffic, local residents are about the only other traffic on our street.

    But, FedEx did come through!!

Morning fellow farts! It's overcast with a little drizzle in the upper 30's in Virginia. We might have new additions to our group...a new member posted yesterday who are nudists. We should go recruit!

It is indeed an LG, model 49WL95C-WE 49". I think it was recently discontinued by LG. They still list it on their web site, and the MSRP, but you can't buy it from them any longer, as you can other models they list. Amazon had it for $500 below MSRP, which further leads me to suspect this is an older model that is no longer being manufactured. I'm not a gamer, so I don't need the absolute bestest, fastest, highest refresh..... this is for my work. I need several apps open at the same time, and just wanted the real estate of an ultra wide :D

I just checked Amazon to get the model number...... their current price is $200 more that what I paid at the beginning of January!

I love all the cat pics you post, by the way. I am a huge kitty lover.

Took me a moment to get what you meant by "snow monster" LOL

    Story Time with Tom
One of my more memorable cats was a huge, all white Persian, named Yetti (not Yeti). A friend of mine who was a Persian cat breeder, needed to rehome him, as his original owners had a baby, and the wife was afraid he might claw their new baby. He did have quite the cattitude and took a while to get used to new people. But after I took him home, and he "adopted me", he was the most affectionate, loving cat I had known in a while.

So, he being a solid white cat, and long haired Persian to boot, and he would yowl at anyone he didn't like that got too close.... Yetti seems like a good reason why his original owners named him that. My wife thought that was a little bit of a 'slap in the face' to have named him that, and suggested we change it. I said "Are you fcuking kidding?? That is the baddest ass name for a cat ever!! No, "Yetti" stays!" LOL

A few years later, he developed spinal lymphoma, huge tumor up and down his spine. It paralyzed his back legs. That hit me extremely hard, because a few years before we adopted him, I, too, had a very large tumor on my spine, which eventually put enough pressure on my spinal cord to paralyze me from the chest down. Fortunately for me, my tumor was 100% benign. I had no idea it was there until about 3 days before it pinched my spinal cord, all I knew was that I had some extremely terrible pain right between my shoulder blades.

Anyway, Yetti passed over the Rainbow Bridge a couple weeks after his paralysis. I was beyond devastated. That was in 2015, and it still rips my heart out when I think about it.

My wife got me that "snow monster" doll in his memory. It's a character called "Bumble" from one of the classic Christmas time kids animated movies from the 60's or 70's?? I can't remember the movie's name.

I got this memorial tattoo of him. I actually have 3 total memorial tattoos of cats I have been particularly attached to. This pic shows the main picture the tattoo is based on, I use that as my phone wallpaper.

Yeah man....animals have a way of doing that. I feel the same way of a great cat I had named Remy. He didn't have an awesome grumpy face like Yetti though! lol. Also, I slipped my disc while in the Corps and know what it's like with a spinal injury not being able to walk for two months. In the end, I'm grateful for what time I had with my guy as you did with Yetti.
