We're thinkin about you and yours there Toe. Hope it all works out fine.

Speaking of shaving and Bivouacs fit check comment, I've got scba fit check tomorrow that I have to clean shave for, can keep a tidy mustache but thats it. It's a class for our equipment, we all feel like we shouldn't have to go but some things you just gotta pay the cost and take the ride.

Lincoln (or Ford) never used a straight 8 engine. The big Lincoln power plants were V12 & V16! :benchpress:

Packard also offered a V12 from 1916-39, they and Pontiac held the (deadly for business) title of offering the last straight 8 engines, both flatheads until 1954.
Pontiac had the resources to modernize and carry on and Packard who did finally come out with a OHV V8 didn't. :(

Packard management was both genuinely elderly & out of touch, a sad downward spiral for a company who proudly used the slogan "Ask the man who owns one".

Well colour me embarrassed! I was sure that the the late 30s Zephyr had a straight 8 option.

    I'll stick to tractors...

    :fistbump:

Packard was marketed as an exclusive car where smoothness & durability was the paramount measure of quality. The larger models of the straight eight had 9 main bearings, very expensive engines to manufacture.

Packard spent decades refining the engines however their elderly management didn't read the changes in the market, (..."we've always done it this way...") their cars moved from "well off peoples cars" to became "well off old peoples cars". A deadly place to market from in the post war years.

Ford at heart was an economy company yet more agile, Lincoln being family had to both share the resources (tech) and change with the times.

    Thank you friends.
My fit test for SCBA isn't due until August but I see half mask coming due end of February. We all (maintenance hands) feel the same about the requirements, yeah.
Wife is in procedure now. She mentioned her Dr referring her to ILD Dr so I search what that is.
Then depression set in when I look at time to expire after diagnosis...3-5 years. Google sucks.
I hope and pray it's something besides that.
    Geez.
    Soup looks good @RustyGreen
I thought of you the other day; something about great value or off brand pepper vs McCormick. There does seem to be a difference for certain.

I shave with edge jell and warm water, disposable blade. Shave isn't as comfortable with the 2 blade disposable but them newer style multi-blade replacement at $5 or more a piece, nah.
I remember years ago an Aunt bought me and my cousin electric shavers. Something about patent lift and cut technology and my cousin said it felt more like yank, rip and tear
    I agree.
That was my cousin Jimmy who passed couple years ago not quite 55. Stomach cancer.

About 2-3 years ago we added duals on the back of this guy’s tricycle. The front swings around and he puts it in the back of his Jeep.

What does he want done now you ask?

Duals on the front with a new adjustable fork thingy.
