I'll haul it away and give you $300 just so it's out of the way and no longer a burden

Get home and none of my BT OBDii connectors will stay connected for more than 2 seconds so can't use the torque app. After farting around with it for 30min I decide to use the ultragauge from the truck but that is hardwired so had to take off the lower part of the dash. Get back in the AMG now that I'm plugged in and I start it. CEL is gone. 0 pending. 2 active but the light out. P0101, P010B left over from when I ran the car with the air boxes off last week. Wtf. Thing is running worse and worse so I guess next step is to pull valve covers and see if it's visible in the valve train.

Gee golly, that’s awful generous of you, but I can’t unleash such unspeakable evil upon a member of the fabled LT thread.

The only thing fantastic about that build is my lack of measuring equipment :anonymous:

Pulled the tape measure out once for a rough idea on what lengths to cut my flat stock and everything else was done with squeeze clamps and a metal scribe *that looks aaabbbooouuttt good* scribe

Let's cut here on an angle and eyeball plumb. Tack here, tack there... looks good, weld it up!

I'm honestly surprised the hippie yuppies haven't made it main stream yet. I learned about it over a decade ago from an old documentary on southeast Asia and tricks they do to feed the throngs of temple worshipers.. flour outta bugs is surprisingly good, makes the bread taste nutty, kinda like acorns

When I take a picture for Nelson on the fitment of that bracket I'll take a birds eye view of the final muffler placement. Shit looked great when I was tacking pieces together, now it's alllll sorts of crooked lol

Which really upsets me to be honest.

I'd be a-okay with the work I did.. IF it was my own rig/equipment. But this is supposed to be a a warranty repair on a piece of equipment that someone else built. They had already cut up the stock muffler to make it fit in our framework, so the engine manufacturer wouldn't warranty it (even though it was a stock weld that broke, not his modification that failed.) But they don't work here anymore so I have to clean up the mess, and the boss doesn't want to buy a replacement muffler (cause Hatz wants over 1k for it and that flex tube is 270 by itself)

It looks like total dogshit if you think about it from an OEM perspective. Thankfully concrete cutters are so hard on the stuff they own, I've never been called out on any of my previous jankyness that has gone out the door in the past
