They did, one of the capacitors or some other component would get really hot after extended periods of use and melt off the circuit board. That's why you could do that thing where you wrap it in a blanket and turn it sideways to fix it sometimes lol

The talk of "upgrading" the current gaming system, as a joke/inquiry/fun conversion with the oldest kiddo while the Mrs was around to make sure she listened didn't go very well.

I was an XBOX gamer for years. Had a PS2 first I suppose but swapped over to XBOX after that and never looked back. Made the switch back then simply to game with friends since they all had the same games/system. I think most people pick one or the other years ago based on game availability (Forza and HALO on XBOX only for example) and what their friends were using. We all agreed as a group to switch to a PC build during COVID. The gaming is better, the same games are almost all available and we aren’t tied to a single system that becomes outdated every few years. Of course it’s a pricier up front investment but hoping it’s smarter long term. The build process itself was fun too. Plus you can hide a few hundred every few months easier than a single big system purchase haha

 

I’ll reply longer tomorrow when I’m on a computer. Let’s just say it involves a son and car(s).
