Outkast, your truck looks phenomenal with those wheels. Something about the silver truck with just the right amount of chrome on the wheels really pops.

Yeah, I love silver on the Taco. I almost ordered it on my new reg cab 4x4, but opted for white instead. When I look at your truck I start questioning my decision.

It has a real classy/sporty look on your truck that just doesn't show up with all black wheels.

First Welcome to TW and your Tacoma looks great.

If you do not have fog lights you might want to add a set.

Thank you! ive been reading up on a lot of this and im glad i happened to get a prerunner version. I did happen to notice tonight when i was driving that the lights were a little dim, or didnt light up the road like my dads (he runs fogs lights on the whole time). so that might be something i would invest in since i will be driving at night a lot. Have any recommendations on a fog light set? i like the way the TRD ones are. but id have to get something like this correct? http://www.amazon.com/TOYOTA-2006-2009-TACOMA-LIGHTS-PERFORMANCE/dp/B0035GV2H6

I installed a set of PIAA 510 lamps that I picked up for around $150 on eBay. I did use my own wiring harness, relay, and switch.

If you are looking for plug and play the link you provided should work. I would check to see if the wiring is already in place. On my 2009 base Tacoma the wiring was there behind the switch location but not at the fog lamp location.

oh alright thank you! ill look and see if it is behind one of the switches by the traction control. Any idea on how to take it off with out breaking it? I always seem to break little things on cars. its bad luck or something.

It's pretty safe to assume that you have the switch connector harness there, but as 95sle mentioned, you won't have the wiring at the light location. I have no idea how difficult it would be to wire into the OEM location under the fuse box (the one under the hood), but you may not even have the relay/fuse connectors in place there. Easier to run your own light wiring. You can buy the pigtails that plug into the bulbs at most decent auto parts stores.

Does your Taco have daytime running lights? That's always a good mod. What's nice about the Taco DRL's is that it doesn't run the headlights, it runs the yellow inboard lights that look pretty good. Your dad's Taco may already be running them. That mod is easy, only requiring a replacement module in the under-dash fuse box.

Welcome I've got the same truck but Timberland Mica and 4x4. First mods I did were upgrade to 265/75r16's, install Bilstein 5100's on the front to level out, install fog lights, tint rear windows to darkest possible. Love the look now.
