We’re supposed to head to Highland for the winter woolley, might be a tad chilly. Sounds like they’re considering changing it to Sunday.

We switched to an electric heater. Staying on one level. Mostly even with this mild winter the heat is twice what we’ve paid during a really cold winter. And that was before the energy saving improvements!!

    Hello,
Check out my repair job, as I am still waiting for replacement parts to come into the body shop DONT USE Sliech Auto Body in Agawam, Ma. they keep saying they cant get the parts, which is BS, id leave and go somewhere else but the insurance paid them already.
What's really funny is my friend has a 2022 Tacoma and went through Balise Body shop and they fixed his less than two weeks ago for similar damage, I only have been waiting since last July for parts. Im ready to buy everything off E-bay and fix it myself. I even purchased my own back up sensor from 1 A Auto for 24.00 and fixed that and reset my blind spot monitors.
    Thoughts or recommendations.

I would take the money you were going to spend at the body shop and buy an aftermarket steel bumper and install it yourself.

You know, I really appreciate the use of the big blue box to point out the repair. Otherwise, it would have just blended right in to the background!

My first thought is to maybe call your insurance company regarding how they paid for work that was not completed. Parts are slowly trickling in so them not able to get parts like a rear bumper since last July is BS. If you can get them to force the shop to reimburse you directly and either go somewhere else or order the parts yourself and we can fix it ourselves. Is it only the bumper? Is it the rear tailgate or any other parts to fix?

it is the bumper assembly the rear quarter panel is dented and folded, the tailgate has a dent and scratched in it, i replaced the tail light that was shattered as well as purchased a sensor so things would work again.
I need a better bodfy shop in my area to go to, so I think I will call the insurance and do just what you said to do, because this is ridiculous.

Im going to do that today, I think the appraiser is in cahoots with this body shop because he suggested them to me. He's probably making money off the whole deal too.

this isnt apples to apples because i have a second gen, but i just had a bumper and rear panel replaced in October. Parts were ordered in July.
Maybe call around some shops and see if they can get the parts first. The wait was just that the shop was backed up from the pandemic. Maybe they are backed up and blaming parts, but who knows
