I had to fuck around with my control box which was annoying. Taking off the bumper by myself was fine but putting it on by myself, with the winch, was hard.

Meh some kid tried to park next to me, realized he couldn’t make the turn, cranked his steering wheel all the way and sideswiped my bumper and tail light as he reversed. He’d had his license for only a few months and his car was in the shop so he was driving his dads ram.

Does anyone ever have issues shifting in or out of 4low? Some times mine takes many tries, yesterday is even turned the truck on and off multiple times and moved it a couple feet back and forth before it would disengage. It's always been a little touchy but yesterday was a bit too much. And recommendations or thought would be helpful. I don't want that to happen when I'm on a trail and need it to engage.

So call me stupid, hard-headed, or any other (appropriate and fully accepted) adjective for overlooking the obvious.... but the listing says that it includes an RCA style wire/plug but the video shows a 4-pin style. I know you can get adapters however questionable the quality but that adds cost, too.

What cable and connector was actually supplied with the one you bought?

My aftermarket camera uses the 4-pin but the actual camera is bulky and this little guy would be a great option for the price.

The camera comes with a tiny 4 pin connector(to feed through the mounting holes) then has an adapter that splits to a single RCA and regular round style power connector with 20ft 2wire. There is then a 20ft RCA that has a trigger wire embedded in it for the reverse light signal.

How did you wire it up? I put one in back in the summer but never ran power to it. Never decided if I should use a add a fuse or wire it into the running lights or something.

I haven't connected it to the headunit yet but intend to power it from splicing into the factory-side harness(IGN/Ground) there using the truck fused radio circuit. I could pull power from somewhere else but I'm going to bundle power and RCA together in some TechFlex to keep it tidy.

Thanks. I ran the RCA cord to the head unit first thing then just never gave it power. I was thinking about tapping a wire but didn't know which one to do it to.

It is pretty common to power the camera off of the reverse light power, you could add a fuse to that connection but I would consider it unnecessary as the light is already fused from the factory.

O yeah that was my first thought but not on the reverse. I bought a front and rear cam for my new head unit and want them to have power anytime the truck is on. The rear is a disaster though. The cameras I bought fit the front perfect and you hardly notice it but I can't find a spot on the rear for it without replacing the factory camera which I want to keep. I could mount it to my rack but the wire didn't reach and I feel like I would end up messing it up up there, above the plate hits the tailgate when down, on the bumper I would for sure fuck it up. So I haven't gotten to that yet.

Looks like it's gonna be Monday before I get my wheels and tires mounted, tpms isn't gonna be here until Saturday. Got a couple more goodies ordered though. Oem leather steering wheel and a new windshield wiper stalk, tired of just having hi and lo for wipers.
