Kinda a long shot….anyone here happen to have a Pex Expander power tool I could borrow or purchase cheap? I have a manual one but it’s too big to get into where I need too.

    Use a compact crimper instead?

I’m using Pex A so it has to be expanded. Do they make a compact expander?

For those interested in my DIY Wedge:

The design was loosely based on 'Ripcords' DIY build and a little inspiration from GoFast and Super Pacific. I did make the height taller in order to fit my MTBs on the bedslide without having to adjust the seatpost. This increase in height should allow for a slim roof rack to be used. I did build this structure in Solidworks and applied various static loads to assess deflection and overall stresses - it proved to be a competent design. The wedge is somewhere around 102x45" if I remember correctly.

It was built using 1-1/2" x 1/8" wall 6061, 5052 sheet and ACM utilizing mig spoolgun, rivets and full stainless hardware. There are mounting points for Rotopax tanks and various rivnuts and holes interior for whatever you may want to bolt to the shell. I used the lower half of Soft Topper mounting hardware to utilize the factory bed rail to affix the camper to the bed. It has a full electrical system to include 46AH Dakota Lithium batteries, 200w Renogy solar, inverter, red and white lights, 14" vent fan, device charging ports in the wedge, and a switch/outlet panel. The whole wedge weighs somewhere around 300-380lbs. I don't claim for this to be perfect, but its completely functional and comfortable. If I were to do it again, I would contract out the sewing.

With PEX A you can use expansion fittings or crimp fittings. Pex B can't use expansion fittings.

If this supported the blind spot mirrors I would be all over it.
