I like my Vets with V8 engines. An E Vet, no way in hell. I’m not slamming electric cars I’m just saying making certain car’s electric like corvette’s is an abomination.

Thankfully I didn't lose power. Utilities have been trimming overhanging power lines like crazy. They are fast, but being a coop leaves limbs on customers' yards to clean up. Allows them to use a fast quick crew for trimming, and give you a calling card they were here.

Last night was had Thunder & Sleet storm, adding to the ice build-up.

We could hear limbs snapping as that sleet came down. Heavy ice accumulated, looks like another good day to stay in.

I live not far from Davis in Elk Grove. You may hit a lot of commute traffic on I80 this time of day.

Yeah, I can agree with that. Maybe they should retire the Vette and come up with a new name for the very different vehicle.

One of the great things about Vettes is that they never grew, never got bulky, never transitioned into an extra seat and four doors. But changing from a beast that runs on explosions contained inside eight metal cylinders... and it will probably be so techy that you can't burn rubber if you try... it might be better to give the old car some dignity and retire the name. Just don't call it a Nova... lol

    Evening all:

That reminds me of something I ran into quite a while back. I was heading up to hunt at Long Pond Pa. and it was a light rain at the bottom of the mountain, got up on top near the racetrack and everything looked exactly like that, there was no way that you could even begin to hunt in that mess!

A little something every chance we get.
Can't like guys, just can't like! I'm like 45 minutes SE, but I got rid of my diseased Arizona Ash for solar - or I would not have a vehicle in the driveway today. All the Ash on my street are diseased, but people only hack off broken parts.

Our former weatherman Jim Spencer put it best today - Travis and Williamson counties look like a very slow, 50 mile wide, EF1 Tornado went through, and then candy coated it! Crews are so far behind because they fix stuff, just to have new stuff fall on the repair. It's truly unprecedented.

Good morning and negative 17. I pulled the battery out of my kids car, left the lights on, and shoveled the walkways at the retirement home. My ears stung a bit when walking (making my own wind) but otherwise it's a rather beautiful start to the day. Clear and calm.

Well it's 9 degrees here this morning. Above 0 but still damn cold with the wind blowing. Wind chill warnings are posted. But a warm up next week. Trying to get my diesel semi at work to warm up, temp needle won't budge.

Been a while, good morning to all. Cold mornings seem to be hitting a few of us, I can take the cold but I hate the ice, falling at this age does no favor to the body. My bride of 45yrs fell and destroyed her shoulder and got a new one 4 months ago. I've got a torn rotator cuff. It's all good though when we can enjoy our time doing what we want, not because we have to do what someone else wants for money.

Shoulders don't like ice. Tore my rotator and tendon years ago on black ice in a parking lot.

Have a good day all and be safe

My worst ice experience was doing volunteer work on the Rubicon trail at the slabs near the kiosk. I slipped on a sheet of ice and slid downhill 100 feet on my back into a frozen ice slushy. Everything was fine until the next day when my back finally spasmed out on me at work. Co-workers carried me to my company truck, I couldn't even lift my leg to put my foot on the break but was able to heel and toe it, automatic transmission for the win. I was off work for 2 weeks and took 20 minutes to get out of bed just to start the 15 foot crawl to the bathroom. A month later and multiple chiropractic visits later I was still jacked up. At a Jeep club meeting somebody suggested edibles and gave me a chocolate bar. I didn't realize I was only supposed to eat one piece, not the entire bar. It worked really well:bananadance:

I've heard that about edibles, here you need a card. However just before I retired I had torn my right rotator cuff and I stopped the opiates and tried a CBD oil product and tested positive on a random. Boy was I pissed got a 3day suspension and had to get a evaluation, I never got a high. The label said it had less than.03% thc. Only thing I could think of was it was for a DOT test.
