One thing about having your own tire change that's a plus, around my area places will not remount a tire that's been removed. I've had instances where I had a big trip coming up and rather than having to schedule a tire change on my vacation I just put 2 new tires on before I left and held on to the pair I took off to finish off locally once I got home. I also like being able to buy tires online, usually when there is a rebate going on so Cycle Gear would be charging me $50 each tire. In 2018 I mounted 3 pairs on my FJR so doing the math I would have dropped $300 just in mounting fees.

Thanks! I’m super happy with it! I might get some vinyl that’s a similar finish and wrap the frame and see if the purple would look good if so I might save up to get the frame coated!

Good point about the remounting - I do want to go to a track day and put some stickier tires on the Versys. I have a friend who can mount/dismount since he also has a Nomar changer.

I put some super sticky tires on my Buell now. I don't put that many miles on it anymore and since I can do them at home for no money I figured I'd put on some "play" tires this time.

Same thing with me, didn't get it until mid summer of this year and I got it bad. Hope you recover quickly. I'm 62 and it hit me hard. My lungs never fully recovered.

Would be worth it to try, the purple frame makes it stand out and a fun throwback to the 80s/90s bikes.

Ya so far I’m on day 5? And my fever isn’t as bad now I use to wake up freezing my ass off in a 70 degree house with 2 blankets and then go to boiling randomly… the rest still sucks ass… I’m 27 so hopefully I should recover soon ish and have no issues after but wait and see right?

Ya that’s my thought as well give it that retro vibe

I see you’re in Michigan, check out STG if they’re near you. Great place to buy gear.

All of my OEM body panels for the Grom shipped :bananadance: I'm kind of amazed none of them were backordered. Using my incredible MSPaint skills, this is what I'm hoping for:

    upload_2023-2-2_16-0-0.jpg

I think it was $180 for a full set: 6 side pieces (main side, inner black piece, lower trim, left and right), rear cowl, front headlight shroud, tank cover, and OEM stickers.

Eat lots of chicken soup and get better. My wife insists on the ceiling fan on at night. I’m frozen when we wake up.

That is one of the baddest looking SV’s I’ve seen. I had an ‘03 yellow. I could scrape the pegs and wheelie it so easily. It really responded to input. Unfortunately like I mentioned before, once I got smoked by a car on Glades Rd in FL I needed to up the Hp.
