Hey guys I need some help .
    I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 3.4
I recently installed a used motor in it after mine blew a head gasket . Truck cranks right up but only runs for a minute and dies just like someone turns the key off. Check engine lights are on. I pulled the codes and they all say mis fire and coil pack. I recently changed every single plug wire and coil . And still doing the same thing, but this time it ram for a little longer then died . And it’s showing po101 po102 codes dealing with air intake and mass air volume. Pretty sure it’s throwing them because or something deeper issue on the truck. Please help if anyone has any advice

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Keep in mind it is always the complete circuit that might be at fault not just one sensor or part

as simple as a poor connection or open circuit Something in the engine harness damaged or not plugged in correct. When you swapped your Engine harness to the new engine.

The ECM not seeing the signal from the MAF sensor shuts off the fuel

****Did you hear this Engine Run before you bought it??***

Might be time to start with the basics. It could be anything .

    One system at a time.

How long did the Truck sit during the engine swap??0

Fuel pressure ?? The EFI or Circuit opening relay might be dropping out .

Fuel pump of fuel filter problems

Enough Fresh Gas ? a few people try and start on a empty tank because the gauge is off.

You changed the coil packs and wires what about the spark plugs?

    Good Luck!

Yes engine ram fine when I bought to put it in, changed coil pack, plugs and wires, cleaned throttle body , changed fuel filter. All relays and fuses. All connections are good , test the wire on fuel pump and nothing is showing up on test light. In middle of changing the fuel pump out now will update shortly

Did you check your Circuit opening relay??

It is in the dash up behind the steering Wheel

Remember the fuel pump is only energized when cranking or the engine is running.

Do you have any friends that can help?

Do you under stand the concept of checking that parts have indeed failed before replacing??

You really need a multi meter .

Do you have the Electrical Schematics for your Engine Management systems working blind folded is very frustrating .

No I do not, was just trying to accomplish this without taking to a dealership or a mechanic , just doing my research as I can , talk with a guy about checking this relay before I buy one
