First Tacoma coming this week

Should I wait till I actually have my first Tacoma to post here? Too excited to wait. Grew up driving trucks on the family farm, starting when I was 10. Been driving used cars for decades. (My wife and I buy used cars, pay cash, then drive them till they die.) Bought my first truck, a Ford F150, a couple years ago and fell in love with having a truck. Also have a camper now, so I kind of need one.

This week, I'm getting my first Tacoma and the first new vehicle of my life: a 2023 TRD Pro. (At MSRP, which apparently is a steal these days. Another dealer asked me for $10K over.) Started looking at an SR5 and quickly moved to a Sport before deciding to splurge. Planning to drive it for 10-plus years, so I decided to aim high.

Anyway, couldn't be more excited about my new truck. Will post a picture when I actually take delivery.

 

Haha. It was over the course of a few weeks. But yes. Also, I spent about 10 seconds pondering an SR5 before I moved on to the Sport, then decided I wanted an expensive upgrade, then said, screw it, it's not that huge a leap to the Pro.

What color did you go with?

 

Went with magnetic gray metallic. I liked the lunar rock, but I was afraid I might get tired of it down the road. Also, there's a slim chance I might wrap a door or a tailgate to promote a business of mine, so I kind of wanted to stay in that color scheme. A lot of great colors to choose from though.

Editing myself. The lunar rock consideration was when I was pondering the Sport.

Is there some sort of Tacoma joke that I'm missing? No dent on the bed. Some weird reflection issues from the parking lot I was in maybe.
