Yes but not all states in USA. Some states ban riding in bed. Unless you have turn the bed into RV shell, it should be fine which you can sleep in the back while your wife drives.

The bold part in your quote, you are right about that which I liked the tail lights on Pulsar.... It looked like a future car.

I remember an article about a '90 computer car with 2 inch lights across the whole front end. It was a concept. When I was in high school, I took the article to my studio and drew the car similar to the article. I will have to find it.. I hope it is still with me somewhere.. possibly in the closet.

Since my mom had Nissan Pulsar so I drew one for her to match her car... She saw my drawing and brawled her eyes out because she couldn't believe that I can draw.

Guess, my sarcasm didn't show thru, it's like saying you can fit the same amount of cargo in a 5' box that a 6' can hold...

AC for me, since 2000. The first not negotiable in the new truck requirements. Still didn't stop the dealer from trying to pass off the fat four doors on me, they just don't listen!

My truck was a certified pre-owned and the bed extender was already in it. Had several people tell me what a great thing it is to have. For my use I've found it to be a total PITA. I don't have anywhere to really store it so it's always in the bed but I find I'm regularly taking it out and letting it at home when I need to haul something and it will be in the way. My brother bought a Tacoma he was thinking about getting one so I offered him the one out of my truck. After we discussed it for a short time he realized he was likely to run into the same issues and declined my offer.

Most of the Access Cab trucks I see are work trucks and base level at that.

Depends on your use, makes sense for you.
For me and the things Ive hauled Ive only removed it twice and even then I kept it in the bed laid longways with the things I was hauling. And for longer items Ive hauled with the tailgate down it was handy. For groceries, hardware store hauls, etc I leave it in unextended and it acts as a cargo divider near the tailgate, very handy with the tonneau cover and tailgate closed.

    Is that a problem?

I love my 5 lug AC. Now collectible, since 3g has no 5 lugs.

If I needed 4wd I'd still pick an AC.

Sports car for 2 person fun. AC truck for practical use. SUV for multi passenger purposes.

For me, no one vehicle does it all.

Not a problem at all. Just wouldn't work for me as I sometimes have to haul four adults around.

Full sheets of plywood in the back, full size gun case, pack your shit and move across the country. Love a full size bed.

And for many people a short 5’ bed is unacceptable. So it’s good to have choices.

I used to give people short rides in the back of my 81 Vette. Your 3 hour ride in the Nissan has me beat.

Thats true but if I cried about needing bed space and ‘using my truck for work’ then I wouldn’t have a Tacoma.

One knee this way, one knee that way. What you do with your head isn’t the drivers problem. Edit: and a small white dog. Edit: and luggage

I've never seen a crew cab with 4 ( or more) people in it, as well as stuff in the box. Around here, there is usually one person (the driver) with nothing in the box driving to work and back. To each their own, but it seems a bit wasteful in my opinion. I know as I have a fullsize crewcab right now that doesn't get used to move people nearly enough. There's been studies done to which the results show that most pickup truck owners rarely tow or haul stuff. I can imagine that they probably rarely transport people as well. It is convenient though for that once in a while need. I guess I will find out how bad (or good!) it is to have an access cab once it comes in.
