I remember when my gramps would shake his head and say “Monkey see, monkey do”. He missed his calling as a philosopher.

Our neighborhood gas station (with full service attendants that washed your windshield) had physical rotating price and gallon dials. It only went up to 99 cents a gallon so when the price hit $1 a gallon they had to set it at 50 cents and put a hand written sign that the total was twice what’s displayed.

I remember every garage had girlie pix and raunchy cartoons pinned up by the coffee pot or similar.

You don’t see that around here.

I bought a bioengineered pie. Walmart probably sells as much pie as anybody in America.

No. That Scout has been in the family since it was brand-new. At one point we owned three of them back in 1973, plus an IHC pickup.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I worked for a person that used his Scout to pull a huge boat

The type one would keep at a marina on the Ocean or a Huge lake.

IH pick up with the 392 Engine maybe the last year for pick ups was fun to drive.

I was helping my mom clean out the basement of her father's house (he passed in Oct 2022 at 100.5 years old).

He has several boxes of just tubes.
My aunt got the biggest one.
I got the a close 2nd (RCA Electron Tube Radiotron 810) 10" long and about the diameter of a soda can.

Ever see the other one like this under the clutch pedal?

It was the engine starter switch. Made sure you had the clutch in to start it. A relay took it out of the circuit once the engine was running.
