    Another question.

I’m new to driving my Taco in cold weather below 40’s. I currently have MT tires but curious if I would need dedicated cold weather tires? do you have recommendations where to purchase them locally or just purchase them online?

AT > MT in all onroad circumstances. You could run snow tires but really shouldn't have to.

It's a drive but my brother in law works in Whitman, if you want to call him and see how fast he can pull parts in.

Different animal but my wife's Rav4 was a 2 week wait only for a rear bumper.

I wouldn’t purchase them at all. Mt>at for what it’s worth I would be more capable with the mt’s in any weather.

Cool. I’m probably going to switch over to AT tires eventually bc MT just makes more road noise in the cabin.

You really only benefit in an MT for deep snow and mud. AT is best for overall all surfaces. Especially in the case of water and possible hydroplane

Up here winters are nowhere close to what they use to be. Its only really cold for about 6 to 8 weeks out of the year, in my opinion. We also don't really get a lot of snow usually until mid January to maybe mid March if we get any

So , two days ago we got a Ring notification about two dogs that got loose close by. One got hit in traffic and they took off into my neighborhood and went to a dead end and into the woods. I tracked the blood trail and gave up. It was 10:00 PM. I’ve been struggling with the fact that I didn’t make a better effort and finding them. Told my wife that Saturday morning I’m getting up early and going in well equipped with food water and gear in my backpack and looking. There’s a neighborhood behind mine on other side of these woods and if I track the trail out to the other side I will feel confident they got found. Haven’t heard anything yet though so that’s my mission :(:(:(

I would post pics of trail on the pavement but you can use your own imagination. Anybody in the Nashua area heard of any outcome?

Haven't heard anything about it but good on you for trying to resolve it. Be careful man, an injured dog is not necessarily your friend.

Gotcha. I’m going to assume the worst and that the dog is deceased. Thanks

I have dedicated snows, but I'm likely in the minority. When I had my 2G with the overly touchy electric brake booster I found in cold / slushy weather with KOs it was way too easy to engage ABS which was always a code brown moment. When I switched to dedicated snows that went away. I haven't driven KO2s in the same conditions with my 3G without the touchy booster (although your configuration may differ).

The other reason I like dedicated snows is that it keeps salt away from my wheels which are known to get messed up from road salt. The downside is that it's two sets of tires that I will eventually age out of rather than mile out of.
