I made my bicycle maintenance stand out of an old, mangled, road sign I found in a ditch…

No it's just the Cruze. That truck was a turd! Nickle sized chips that were all repaired atrociously! There was not one intact body panel!!! Smelled like cigarettes and had cigarette burns all over the interior. Not the truck for me

 

Great news on the knee! I haven't ruined anything or torn anything or done any major damage! It's inflation. Patellofemoral Syndrome. Basically, I was doing the right thing, I just need to be taking anti-inflammatory stuff every day and doing strengthening exercises and restrict anything that hurts for now till movement feels normal again, then I can slowly add stuff back in. Could be weeks, could be a couple months, but that's a lot better than I was thinking after it started hurting again this weekend.

 

There will be a good white one come along……..

True story time…

Not that interesting but best I can think of…

My hometown of Carlsbad, NM sits beside the Pecos River in southeastern New Mexico. Back before dams were built to control it, flooding was a frequent problem. One such devastating flood wiped out all the bridges and houses along its banks in 1902. My great grandparents, who were living in a tent at the time, braved the floodwaters and swam out to scavenge any usable wood and built themselves a 3 bedroom house from it. The house still stands to this day. In fact, my sister lives in it.
She has added modern windows, a new roof and central heating/AC. The rest is still as it was.
