Sounds about right. January was the first month I actually tracked my hours since I was hired in 2019. I’m salaried and OT-exempt… I needed to start proving how much time I was actually spending up here. :jpow:

Yeah I know that, I just don't want to go through the trouble of wiring the amp and sub up in the back seat lol. I'm kind of lazy.

That's the way I used to be. Back when I actually worked on the floor in a machine shop 60 hours was a common week. I don't miss that but I do miss getting to work on aero space projects vs agriculture equipment

Then pay someone lol. Either way your gonna have to do some wiring even with door speakers. Labor is about the same. Thats the main reason i went with this head unit. It has a built in 180 watt RMS (45 watts per channel) amp. All i have to do is run another power wire to the battery and that's it. Its more than double my current output so it should be a nice easy upgrade! I don't know of any other head units that do this. It should be plug in play since i had the previous model Sony head unit and they haven't changed any of the wiring so it will be plug right up.

This is my fav car audio channel lol

I should have said Lazy and Cheap  I will break down one day and do it. Just other stuff I would rather spend my time and money on in the truck right now. Or things that are easy and give me that slight dopamine rush. Like today at lunch I knew the blue LED bulbs for all of my switches were in the mail box. I went home, grabbed them and slapped them in. Now the only thing left is the shift indicator lights, the steering wheel buttons and the cluster. Gotta chase that dopamine :bananadance:

How much was that if you don't mind me asking?

$700 after tax, which in my mind isnt that bad if you factor in the cost for a separate amp/wiring kit and ;labor time plus the cost of the head unit. The head unit has a decent size screen and its OS is my fav on market. Sony also has the best (in my opinion sound eq system that optimizes the sound coming from the signal processor. Im kind of a sound snob lol. Also a TV snob lol. Ive got a Samsung qled at my house with full sound system lol.

Nothing wrong with being passionate about what you enjoy. Whats the RMS on that head unit?

180x4 channels so 45 watts rms per channel. Could also power just front door speakers and bridge 2 channels and run a sub off it that way as well. Def will give you some better bass but wont be busting the walls down lol. My 2 kickers are 800rms lol

See that would probably do all I ever wanted but I'm too cheap to spend that on a head unit:rofl:. At some point I'm sure I will coble something together out of cheap parts that I will always have to tinker with lol :crapstorm:

I couldn't see the pic. Were they friends beforehand, or did they really become friends after settling their beef?
