I want to make a table! Is it hard to get the top level? I keep thinking it will be. Also, my knee is holding me back right now, but I want to build something so I can bring more of the process back home to save me time.

You can find lots of variations with a little searching, and pick the features you like.
If it comes down to it, I still have the book with the plans I (mostly) used.

I recommend tempered hardboard for the work surface, since it can be easily replaced.
