Some cleaning under the hood. I also wiped the throttle body (per “car care nut” instruction) with some intake cleaner. First time doing it on this truck at almost 40k miles and this is what the rag looks like…

At 40k would that be considered dirty or clean?

You just triggered my PTSD. Dropped one of those into the door and spent 2+ hours knocking it around trying to catch it with a "tool" I made out of some copper wire I had laying around. Thought about just buying a replacement at the auto parts store, but that would 1) leave the thing rattling around in my door, 2) be admitting defeat.

I'd like a few minutes alone with the guy that gave the OK for that unreachable pit in the door right above where this thing goes.

I have one, and could not grab that clip for some reason I have mentally blocked out.

Oh yeah, I've got a few of those. One even has a light. Saved my ass a few times for nuts and bolts. Nice to have the other things for plastic pieces.... and to clean the wifes hair out of all the drains.

To me, it feels great. It's solid, doesn't feel cheap or anything.

Can I tap a rear USB port off of the USB port in the console? Classy's video taps off a lighter plug which my 2021 doesn't have.

I put 85k hard miles on it and it just felt like crap compared to friends newer Tacoma's. Found a nice feller on here with nearly new takeoffs in my budget.

Just pulled my tube at about 29k and there is gunk in it also. If you look in the tube you can see where it
comes from the engine recirculate tube. The engine could use a oil separator between the PVC or whatever
it called now and where it dumps into the intake tube.

I would not bother with the adapters more stuff to go wrong. Just clip the extra piece off. The clippers are available
from Amazon and work very well. Or just pull the little green thingie off. Then the lows and highs are the same.

These clips are intended to be put on the triangle trim piece first then snap them in together. This way you won't push them thru the hole (like I did).

    I know they're linked above but here's the Toyota part # 67771-58010
    Or I used These
