Good morning TW! Woke up to -24* outside and 60* inside. Little chilly, to say the least.

I'm working outside today! Way too much fun. Loving my heated vest right now. Every pocket has hothands.
-10 in Waltham,,, not sure what the windchill is but it's painful. Hopefully just a few more hours.

Yes sir, we can dip inside to get warm but only for a bit.

I have the Milwaukee 12v. It was a gift from work. I have zero complaints

I'm surprised that the foam equipment works at that temperature

It's all inside. Hose is heated unfortunately the gun is not. Yield is terrible in this cold but the spider lift we are renting is 8K per week.

-17 here right now. It went as low as -19 last night. House maintained 71 with the pellet stove on medium and the boiler running about 10 minutes out of every hour. Not too bad.

Tacoma started right up. The clutch pedal was very stiff, which made shifting a challenge; rev matching helped. It loosened up after awhile.
    All’s good.

Ya the truck was a little pissed off this morning but not bad. I'm pleased with how well the 1GRFE does in the cold, had to jump a couple neighbors today/yesterday.

I've heard good things about that vest, i end up doing a surprising amount of work outside during the winter months and definitely considered it since I'm already in the ecosystem

Anyone familiar with type of heater? I'm not if the pilot went out. I'm thinking the pilot is where that little metal flap is at the bottom, but I can't get a clear view inside when I move it aside.

    IMG_20230204_112157.jpg

Edit: I got it going. It was a pain getting to the pilot.

I heard mice in one wall cavity a week or so ago. I quickly figured out where they were getting in and filled the hole with layers of spray foam and steel wool. I didn't hear them after that, so I figured I filled it while they were out trying to find food and they couldn't get back in.

The smell today proves otherwise. They're definitely dead in the wall. Unfortunately, it's kind of a waiting game now because I'm definitely not cutting out sheetrock to try to find them.
