That really sucks. I was at the dealer this morning and got my first up close look at the tundra. It was a limited. The screen was huge and I know that’s the trend with vehicles but it looks ridiculous. Guess it matches the rest of the vehicle.

    The iPad-glued-to-the-dash look is ridiculous.

good news is based on the interior spy shots it looks like we’re getting more of an evolution of the 3rd gen (no vertically protruding screen) as compared to the Rav4 pop up variety.

I saw a video on the interior this morning, looks very nice. Large knobs and steering wheel are a hit with me, the big screen TV, not so much, that is getting old lol!

The new tundra is awful for the screens, and they don't serve any function except to be flashy.

I hate it. I like big easy to use radios, but thats it. Leave the rest simple!

I really don't understand why people get so bent out of shape over this. From a practical standpoint this seems like very good positioning. Easy to shift your eyes from the road to the screen. And I would guess have less glare. The factory screen on my tundra is not only low but tilting upwards. Sun can easily hit it at this angle, and your eyes have to shift to far down. Also a big screen is awesome when using navigation.

I do understand maybe wanting it a little more integrated, but then would we have just extra pieces of the dash up high as well?

They are doing a full redesign, it isn't a 3rd gen interior. Toyota will stream line to save move on inventory

I was indifferent getting my 23 Tundra limited with the big screen. After owning it, there’s no way I would pick the smaller SR5 screen. It does everything quickly and simply. I can toggle between car play and Toyota apps very easily.

what you’re seeing covered up is going to be pretty close, if not bang on what will be the production version. We’re too close to release at this point. Look at the detailed shots. It’s clearly not a 3rd gen, but is way too refined/detailed to be a mule dash.

its an evolution of what already was popular in the 3rd gen. Not saying it’s a 3rd gen copy. But it borrows from what the 3rd gen did really well and builds on it.

If they make things a touch more plush, update the infotainment, look & feel - it’ll be wildly popular. Based on these spy shots I think it will feel very familiar for 3rd gen folks, which is probably a good thing.

it will be interesting to see what consumer response is for it when you’ve got Ranger, Colorado, and Frontier with total departures from their previous gen interiors (for the better)

I wonder what it will be like going from a Gen 2 to a Gen 4.

I test drove a ‘23 RAV4 with the new 10.5” screen with new software. It was wonderful compared to my wife’s ‘21 XSE with 8”.

Night and day difference. A much more refined ride with the coil springs in the rear. Torque and hp should be much better. Possibly an 8 or 10 speed transmission. The new transmission in the tundra is wonderfully smooth and faster than the 5 and 6 speed autos. Slightly better mpg. Much quieter interior. More solid feeling truck with the fully boxed frame vs flexy c channel frame. The gen 3 was really a gen 2.5. Same truck with a more refined engine, better interior, better 4x4 system and small efficiency gains. The gen 3 is also a little quieter inside but nothing drastic.
