I went for a ride in my buddies Silverado yesterday and I must say that there are quite a few features/ amenities I wish Toyota would incorporate into their next generation Tacoma that even a LT Silverado has. Things are as follows:

    • Moon Roof
    • Heated Seats
    • Automatic folding rear view mirros
    • Rear Sliding window
    • Some basic kind of electric rear/front window defroster
    Any Other Suggestions??

I would like to see leather with heated seats as an option. They have this option in Canada and it would be nice to have it here. Also, factory beam projector headlamps ala 4 runner with factory HID's. Heated mirrors would also be nice to have. Ohh and they should offer more interior colors. I would like to see the black color cloth found in FJ cruisers be incorporated into the Tacoma lineup. Don't get me wrong, I love my sport seats, but ive never really been a fan of light gray interior on cars.

Yeah that black cloth(sport seat material) would look really good in a tacoma

    • Moon Roof - Don't care
    • Heated Seats - Don't care
    • Automatic folding rear view mirros - I'm not lazy
    • Rear Sliding window - Already have it (???)
    • Some basic kind of electric rear/front window defroster - Don't care

The only things I wish it had are a standard locking tailgate (solved with a PopNLock) and autostick/manumatic (whatever you want to call it). Other than that, I don't think it's missing anything and the fact that you're comparing a compact/midsize truck to a fullsize says something.

^Yeah, I'm not understanding a couple of his comments. I have a front defroster and rear sliding window. I don't know what he means.

on the windshield, yes... i think he means front side windows or something. my 300m had an electric defrost for the back window... basically it's a bunch of small lines that run across the glass and get warm enough to melt snow/ice

NO MODS YET! 20" Enkeis with NT420 performance tires coming soon...inspired by genxer36.
Obviously you haven't seen the Frontier LE. It's midsize and it has a whole lot more stuff than the Tacoma.

It's been -35ºC here for the past 4 days and I haven't had a buildup of frost on my rear windows. And I always park outside. How is this an issues?

It's a Truck. If you want a Escalade or 325i then go buy one. You own a truck. It's made to haul shit. Not make you feel like a pimp daddy.

Which is why it's won consumer guide best buy every year since it was redesigned in 2005.

Tacoma doesn't need fucking gimmicks to sell.

I'm happy with it the way it is. I wanted a basic but reliable truck, and that's more than what I got. If all those things came standard, it would have pushed it out of my price range... and then I'd be stuck driving a Ranger. Heck, the standard power windows/locks, side airbags, and traction control are luxuries that I'm not yet accustomed to. I will however give a +1 to the cargo lights.
