@YotaFAB It won't come with that. You reuse your OEM hazard / clock / airbag part.

Limited-time deal: PoP voice Professional Lavalier Lapel Microphone Omnidirectional Condenser Mic for iPhone Android Smartphone,Recording Mic for Youtube,Interview,Video https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016C4ZG74

Replaced the garbage microphone with this one. So far it seems to have improved the common issue of the person your talking to not being able to hear you. Only negative is the cord isn't long enough to put it @ the stock microphone location.

Does anyone know if there's a way to use the OEM camera in the tailgate handle instead of the AHD camera? Without splicing up a bunch of wires? Is there a harness for that?

With Torque you have to program that PID. If you do a search on the forum it's here somewhere. Or you can get ODB Fusion and buy the Toyota PID package for $15

I finally got around to installing mine, how did you get the launcher to work? I have Nova 7 installed on mine but I cant figure out how to enable it as the primary launcher.

Additionally I am thinking about toying around with the andriod mods. How are y'all installing different UIs?

I don’t remember exactly. Somewhere there is a select list of apps to open on boot. That may be in android or car launcher.

As @rnish noted in the list of apps you can indicate what app you want to open turning on the head unit. This will also (98% of the time) prevents the long boot up. Try this.

Go to SETTINGS, Select USER, Select APPLICATION SETTING.
    PXL_20230205_220231690.jpg

On that screen you will see icons for all your apps. Find the app you want for startup.
    PXL_20230205_220245027.jpg

useful launcher that I use most of the time.
    PXL_20230205_220332229.jpg

I really should have cleaned the screen before taking these picture.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you, made it easy to figure out and y'all are correct, the phone launcher, whole nice is not intuitive enough to use for a car home screen. Next is to play with car launches.

Couple of questions, has anyone figured out how to remove the floating overlay white orb? Seems to be a quick settings button but I would like to remove it is annoying to be floating on every screen.

Second I found a couple people who hinted at how to upgrade to Android 12, can anyone who has do a quick how to write up? Perusing through joyings site makes it seem daunting, and I doubt it is, but a easy to follow writeup would be nice.

I'm sure I could figure out our, I used to be deep in the Android modding game and xda, but that was many, many years ago, and I find it easier not having to deal with keeping up with it anymore.

I have not figured out how to get rid of the orb. It was a little annoying at first, but now I really don't notice it much any more.

I have not done the upgrade to 12. I'm a little worried to take that step as my head unit suits me fine as is.
I did see on there site to contact them prior to the upgrade to make sure your unit is compatable

Thanks, but I'm asking if there is a way to do it without cutting existing wires and using a harness? I noticed a post on page 49 post 971. Here's a link for it. He's got a 2014 but mine is a 2010.

I posted this in the 3rd gen Joying thread but didn’t get any response. Hoping you guys have some answers to my noob joying experience:

I installed my HU yesterday and was way more straightforward than anticipated. I didn’t end up using any of the adapters (gps, usb extension, factory usb) or the scosche mount. The gps adapter that I purchased didn’t get any satellites (as per the receiver), but the supplied one did. After plugging everything in, the OEM USB/aux input still doesn’t work though, so I haven’t returned anything yet. I ran the GPS antenna up the driver side A-pillar and tucked it into the headliner, it has a decent magnet in it and should stay hidden. The unit came with two USB extensions that I ran down the center console so they are out of the way, but still accessible. The unit is only being held in by two screws, but fit is snug and looks like it isnt going anywhere. Nice to save a $100 on the add ons that I thought I needed.

Wireless Apple CarPlay was great but seemed to not connect for some unknown reason, I didn’t have free time to troubleshoot, so I will revisit that today hopefully. Also my apps screen shrunk to super small icons… not sure what I did, anyone else have that issue?

I don’t see an App Store of any kind, am I downloading the apps via Chrome? I need to get a better interface asap, suggestions?
