My headlight lenses/reflectors are tired. There are a ton of aftermarket items out there, most seem awful. Is there a perfect aftermarket replacement that keeps the DOT pattern and is of good quality? Or is OEM the only way to get that?

As long as it has the visible fresel slats, it should perform adequately, i think.. You'd know very soon after install, right?

Summarizing what I've read from the lighting experts on the forums... OEM is best, and worth getting if you're able. If you can't get OEM, at least get a CAPA-certified replacement.

Toyota (or the OEM they subcontracted to) put a lot of effort into the design of the lenses and the tooling to produce those lenses. It was worthwhile to do that because they were going to produce millions of them. None of the aftermarket manufacturers will have the same level of investment in their product.
