I have thought about throwing some of my Betty white money into my tundra. :anonymous:

Maybe some kings and 35s, you know, for exploring the roads in comfort with my son for some father son bonding.

Make sure to think it through! Through college and early marriage I built little alky nitromethane engines and raced these guys. My wife still says every now and then "I wish I would have told you not to sell it!" Now that's 28 years ago, I still say it was a good sell!

It’s been festering for awhile. The damn thing has been parked for the past 2-3 months and I’ve driven it maybe thrice to go get some fast food. Outside of wheeling trips I just don’t use it, so in that aspect it’s no different from any other off-road toy.

I’m sure I’ll miss it and on occasion, regret it, but it’s the right move.

Jobs, no idea in the valley. If you have the clearances, why not IT on base? Most of them are contracted out anyways.

I’m poking around on base but haven’t seen anything that’s a good fit quite yet. Ideally I would find something more personnel security related, like a field security officer or a special security officer. I’ll find something eventually, the security clearance is pretty marketable since it’s so expensive and time consuming for someone to get one.

You’ll be in my neck of the woods! I spend a lot of time up in the lake pleasant area so if you’re ever wanting to check it out up there just let me know, would be a shame to sell the truck though…just saying

Tucson is one of my favorite places! I spent a year living with my Grandparents in South Tucson when I was little. Made many trips to visit over the years growing up, running around with my rowdy cousins that lived in the Projects (Long gone). Maybe that's why I have an affinity for the desert even now...

Dang south tucson is a rough area now, has been since I was a kid. I used to spend time with my grandparents off 12th and Elvira and that area was a bit sketchy too lol. I do miss the food though. Can’t find anything that compares up here.

Question for the locals…what are you guys seeing or feel is a fair price for used LT spec kings with the compression adjusters?

Or just used kings in general for a 3g?

As usual the answer is "it depends" on things like mileage, rebuild history, overall condition etc.

Okay, ideally, ready to run. What should I expect to see? I don’t have Facebook so I don’t get on marketplace to get an idea of what’s out there.

You dont need a facebook account to use marketplace.

New basic King 2.5s with resi/adjusters are about $2000. I wouldn't pay any more than $1500-1600 for used ones even in great shape, at that point just get new ones.

Yeah in the last 6 months lead times have come down and prices have gone way up. I think my king resi/non-clickers were like $1499 a couple years ago. Now even places like Headstrong have them for $2000.

DirtKing will do LT spec kings for $1999. The MT spec from DK is about $2500 with adjusters for some reason.

Makes me wanna buy the LT specs and run them mid till I get my LT stuff squared away :anonymous:
