Welcome from Bozeman. Little tidbit, the most beautiful girl I have ever met personally was from Big Fork. I now have a desire to go there... lol

Any of you Montana Taco owners ever see the full camo, 2nd gen with a lift and topper on it at Trophytaker archery??? I'm a dealer for their archery gear and saw it on their website... Pretty cool truck.

Lol! Thanks :) So are there many drives/trips that go on with the Montana tacos in the summer? I haven't quite had time to read through the 75 pages on this thread...:D

We did a couple of meets last summer. I'm the unofficial planner/organizer/nag-until-they-agree-to-join-in person. Stay tuned. I should be starting my nagging soon...

NAG...NAG...NAG...but seriously, my work is going to be pretty crazy from now until ??? so if I want any extra time off I'm going to have to plan ahead. I'll start working on a meet soon...

And I have the same concern that Colton had about the light bar...clearance for the mounting bolts on the lights. I haven't looked at my truck that closely but I don't think there's enough room between the grill and the bumper to allow the light bar to pass through without rubbing and then to be able to get the lights on there...it'd be really tight.

    Mac...

took a quick look at the front of my truck...the picture is sort of deceiving, there is only about 1/2" of space between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the grill. The top of the bumper does slope down slightly so depending on how far away from the grill the lights are mounted there could be about 1" of clearance. I would still be worried that the bolts would rub on the bumper with any amount of vibration.

Sooo, I've been pondering an overland build on my taco (odd for a std cab I know), but I was wondering if you guys would recommend going with some trail armor or performance mods first. This build will probably take a couple years and I am looking to start wheeling this summer.

I would suggest starting with sliders and skid plates

I haven't anyway... What is the website? Could check it out and possibly determine where he's located anyway

If you are planning an overland build, armor is first thing for sure. No doubt in my mind...

Just an HID conversion right? I can do them whenever, but I am still in training for my new job so I don't see myself getting to Butte for a while anyway... What are your overall plans for your headlights?

Ya, ill send you the links for the two i would consider doing them on. If you have time while your there I would be willing to drive over or send them or something. I dunno about an overal plan they just suck major balls stock, so I would either get the round eyes, http://www.roundeyes.com/Toyota_Headlamps-Rectangular_Toyota_Conversion_Headlamps.html, as a stock replacement. Or take those same roundeyes, or the Hella version of them and try to make it HID.

Okay, looks doable. I would just need the dimensions of the lights to make sure that the housings will be deep enough for the new bulbs.

Check out this taco, very nice overland setup.
    http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50732

Armor isn't everything, a dent is a lot easier to keep on moving with in the middle of nowhere compared to a couple blown out tires or a dead battery.
On board air, recovery gear, tools, and a good set of tires would be at the top of my Overland list.

Shit... Those are flipping huge. Should be pretty easy if I can get to the bulb. Could you send me a pic of what the stock ones look like from the back?
