    That’s pretty cool!
I wonder how that setup handles unequally changed batteries.

This is why I went for a lithium house battery + DC-DC charging (and solar later). It’s the future, no need for gas generators any more.

Solar is getting better all the time. For adventure trail/ offroading trips where we are driving a good part of the day a mix of solar and the trucks electrical system could work quite well for recharging. Depends of what all needs to be powered at night.

For the most part I don't use a lot of power when camping. I've had good luck charging camera batteries and my jackery while on the move.
That said I'm not running a fridge, a ton of lights or other high-ish draw items.

I’m too old and grumpy to be uncomfortable when camping. My needs include massive quantities of power!
That being said, I’m definitely looking for ways to make my already quiet generator even more quiet.

I've been thinking about getting a Jackery or a Bluetti. Home Depot sells them online. I've got a $210.00 gift card that needs to spent.
    Or
    I could buy some tools.

I like the idea of a Jackery/Bluetti/portable battery station like this and at one point I even ordered one. Amazon f'd up my order so the universe saved me that time. Usually they are just overpriced with older battery chemistry that only go like 500 cycles and slow to charge from DC or solar. They do have their place depending on your needs. Jackery also uses adapters for the solar inputs which is weird and prone to failure, and their solar panels are overpriced.

I have the Jackery 240 and it works for my modest needs. Including running a 12v electric blanket

That would be super generous considering Dan doesn't drink and already has to put up with our shenanigans without encouraging them further.

Just like the unnamed person that adds entertainment when he gets stuck in between a bunch of trees.

At least there's not many trees in Moab. We'll both be better off lol.

I merely wanted my response to match the category my faux pas was put into.

    Cheers!
