My wife had a part Maine coon with triple paws. The joke was he could kill a mouse by stepping on it.

Mine have caught a couple in the house through the years.

    Plus they're so damn cute.

Could be the nozzle for the pilot. I had that happen on a camper, doesn’t take much to screw up the nozzles. Could be the Thermo couple that senses that flame also (more than likely that’s your culprit)

House has two pilot lights , water and furnace. Which also heats water. But I need to mend a downspout that was ripped off by the wind Friday nite

@replica9000 if thr pilot lights okay, and eventually stays light, but goes out...

    Could be thermocouple. Very common.
Wind will also do it, shifting directions, etc, can cause slight pressure changes in the combustion area, and "blow" pilot out. Especially if the wind cap on the flue is damaged, or missing.

With the calmer weather, if it settles out, I'd lean in that direction, but, still have it checked by someone.

Now, it's time for a new battery.

Went to Mohegan for a show Friday night, truck started okay, etc, just, when it's COLD, it's lazy. Started it yesterday @ 0700, and it still started unassisted

But, I'm sure at this rate if I try to use the winch, the battery will give up. Original.

Just thinking out-loud. Not sure whether I should deal with going AGM or just get a new L/A that fits, but, has more CCA.

Unbelievable. 70 bucks would get you 700 Cca amp 24 f battery in 1985.
At least it’s not at a dollar an amp yet.

The first time, I thought it might have been due to the wind. I have an unused dryer exhaust vent that was flapping in the wind. I fixed it so it wouldn't open. The other couple times, I'm not sure what caused it. With the temperature not being in the negatives today, so far it's staying lit.

Any of ya'll put in ground loop heat pumps (water to water geothermal)? If so, what kind of quotes did you get and what was your tonnage?

Well, tonnage will be determine by a Manual J.
So, make sure you use someone that KNOWS what they are doing.
Second, I would ask, are you close to any water?

WHY is a ground source heat pump on your radar?

I've worked on several. Not even on my radar as far as what I do day-to-day, but...

If it isn't done right, you'll be pissed, and never get a R.O.I.

    @CTSpruceMica and @tacobell007

Yep. More alone the lines of making the right choice. I have no real need for a huge battery, other than the winch...
And it isn't dead yet... so, have some time. But, I'm sure once I put that draw on it..... :help:

@Rocket23 if it makes you feel better, in the last year, I relaced both 1100CCA batteries in my diesel.....
New Lithium in my Bagger, and the motor in my Dyna kills a battery a year(next will be lithium as well)... those are about 300 a pop... so, about $1/per amp... in fact, might be more, as they aren't arated that way.

    Exodus and Anthrax NEVER disappoint.
Even set the wife up for a M&G Exodus.

First time @ Mohegan other than as a contractor.
I'm hot and cold on it. Was nice having a spot to have a drink while waiting for the doors to open... but, just 1 merch stand... and price of drinks.... damn

I was in the city last night for the Bert Kreischer show. I paid the extra cash to be in the North Station garage rather than trudge through the city. It was freezing

I was resetting tire pressure in the Jeep when I noticed one sidewall has enough wear I’m having the tire shop take a gander at to make sure it’s safe, I’m feeling 50/50. I’ve been pretty diligent about pressures and load, rotate every 5,000, just under 34,000 miles of use, 8/32nds of even tread, 4019 date code. I’m miffed if I’m going to be on the hook for a new set.

I’ve heard Cooper has some sidewall issues, so we will see what happens with a pro-rate to help. I’ll probably cross-shop the Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs the Nokian WR G4 and see which is less on the Jeep.

Solid bill there, any one of the 3 alone would get my money. That said it worked out I didn't buy tickets back when they came out.

I'll go there to see a show but that's it, never really had a slight bit of luck at the slots or felt there.

Definitely wise especially this weekend. Where was the show at?

Not sure right now but Copeland has had decent prices on tires before, got mine there just because they had the best price on them.

What type of wear on the sidewall? Dry cracks? Usually that is the only damage I see from older tires (2017 and older now). The only other thing I see is when people drive on them almost flat (<5psi) is a ring around the whole sidewall, and the inside of the tire/sidewall will have chewed itself down to the cords, but again, you would see that ring on the outside, and it could also lead the sidewall bubbling.

TD, I like working with Kenwood as they usually match whatever best deal I can find.

The lowest pressure I ever remember any tire on the truck being was 27-29 psi, anytime my wife got a light she’d limp it home (maybe 5-6 miles), I’d fill it and get it repaired. I can’t even be certain that tire was ever low. Last night was probably the lowest they’ve been at 30 psi cold.

That is not good looking! I can see some light dry rotting above that line/crack, but that crack is definitely something to worry about. As long as you don't take it anywhere for long distances at highway speeds, I would think that tire would hold up okay, but with higher temperatures, something might fail. I would take it to you whoever you bought it from to see what they think.

Tomorrow when I head into work I will take some pictures of a tire someone ran very low on air, and show what type of damage it can do.
