Keep the Pro. Since your wife hates the color maybe she won’t want to drive it. My wife is short and never drives my Sport because of the hood scoop. Solar Octane and hood scoop for the win!

 

With all due respect for OPs wife… unless wife is a TEN. Trade her…

 

A hint here guys.. If you get your wife her own truck. And do it together. It's super easy to explain why you need sliders or skid plates on a 50k truck.

The exact opposite thing happened with my aunt and uncle twenty years ago. My uncle wanted a pickup truck with a manual transmission, and my aunt didn't really want him to get a truck. She said he could have a truck as long as it was yellow, thinking that would be the end of it. My uncle bought a brand new 2002 Nissan Frontier XE 5-speed, in yellow, and still has the damn thing! It has like 140K miles on it and had to have the A/C condenser replaced, but other than than it has been trouble-free and even has the original clutch! My aunt and uncle make good money and have always lived in nice houses, but they are the types of people who will hold onto vehicles for decades. They live in a house just steps from the beach in Norfolk, VA. However, they have the aforementioned Frontier, two 2009 RAV4s, and a 2018 or 2019 Highlander...

On a serious note. This seems to be a theme. My wife and my daughter both hate my Solar Octane 6MT. What's worse is that I traded my lunar rock 23 Tundra, a color they loved. I waited 2 years to get my Pro 6MT. I was almost shocked my how much hate it has received from the fam.

 

Yep

the solar octane should be called Home Depot orange or construction orange. I got a pic of it ahead of time and thought … that had to be the lighting … not hunter blaze orange. I had already paid for the thing sight unseen. Even I would have said no then, but I had already bought it, had cat shield and power tailgate added.

 

A few years ago, when I was down and out car wise, I ended up buying a 10 year old P.T. Cruiser that had 'flames' going down the side.
That thing was the biggest P.O.S. that ever existed.

I was forbidden from parking it in the driveway.

 

Looks good to me. Everyone wants a white / black / grey vehicle these days and it’s big meh.
