From what I've experienced in the past (which isn't much) each A/C will have their own breaker. So in agreement with Bobbo, check yer breakers first, then most likely the thermostat itself. Also check for loose wires behind the thermostat.

Well, today they are coming to inspect the septic tank and water well. I hope they don’t notice that they taste the same

 

All the breakers for the house are good, and no loose wires at the thermostat itself. I'll go outside when I have a break from working, and see if maybe there is a breaker at the condenser unit itself, and if it may have tripped.

 

Vampires are more productive at night. They can think outside the box.

Spoiler: it's not a violin

 

Use a jumper wire from “R” to “W2” and listen for the unit to kick on. If it does, you have a bad thermostat.
