Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
All shined up, I had to turn around and snap a pic.

looks good! I just bought a 2023 OR DCLB it’ll be here at the beginning of April. What’s the specs on your lift and wheels and tires?

What's up MGM fam. I am needing a new set of boots and am struggling to decide if Bronze or Black is less douchy. I am also looking into wheel sizes, I want to minimize the decrease in MPG and am curious if a 17" tire with just enough offset to make it flush with the truck would decrease my mpg much, any size rec's greatly appreciated

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Bronze or black both look good so it's going to be personal preference. The size of the wheel won't really make a difference in MPG unless you go with a much heavier wheel. It's the size tire you go with. An offset of -10 to -12 seems to be about flush with fenders.

I went with OEM TRD 4 Runner wheels which are 17 x 7 with a +4 offset. They put the 265/70r16 tires about flush with top the fenders on my TRD OR. Any more offset and the tires would be sticking out. I too was concerned about retaining MPG and went with a Toyo AT3 SL tires because they only weigh 39lbs. I'm averaging close to 19mpg and expect to get a little better(truck only has 950 miles). Keep in mind that this wheel/tire combo gave slight rubbing on OEM mudguads at stock height. I did a 1.5" lift with 5100's and no rubbing since. A more negative offset(wheels further out) would make rubbing even worse because the tires would swing further out when turning. I'm kind of partial to the black wheels.

Oooo that looks really good. I have a 1.75" lift with the 6112 and 5160 + icon leaf pack, so I think if I did what you have I would also be good to go! thank you for the input, I think black is the safest bet as well. Good looking rig!

I would have never thought bronze would look good on an mgm, until I saw the mgm trail with the bronze pro wheels. I ended up putting a set on my 23 dclb a few weeks ago. Switched over the factory Goodyears and am installing the most mild lift in history next week. Headstrong 1/4”spacers and oem trd pro/trail 1/2” blocks.

Thank you. There are a few more photos on my 2023 TRD OR thread in my sig. I posted two other photos a few posts up on post 12645. I'm super happy with the mild lift, 5100's, wheels and tire choices.

I might go for a spare ray10 for a spare wheel. MGM nice color.

Watch the thread quoted above. Great source for spares... or primaries. I have purchased a few blemished units in the past, and I honestly couldn't find the blemish.

This might be a stupid question. But are the matte ones harder to keep clean vs the gloss?
