Hi everyone. Newbie here & happy I found this forum. Its my last hope besides a side grinder or jaws of life.
Long story short...I got a 1999 prerunner from a guy & here is my issue. The drivers door is shut tight. ALL linkage, rods, handles, etc have been either broken or disconnected from previous repair attempts. No lock, no interior handle, no exterior handle. I have the inside door panel off & have pushed & pulled everything every direction. Somehow I have to get that latch to open so I can even open the door! If anyone can help at alk I would be so grateful. Thank you in advance.

Well, if you have the door panel off, that's a good start. With everything broken, you'll need to remove the opposite door panel and find the push/pull rod that actuates the door release mechanism. You'll probably have to do two things, make sure the door is unlocked, and figure out which thing to pull on in there.

Like Andy said, I would remove both door panels and look at the passenger side linkage. I would not try to force the door open, just remember to take breaks from the project. Someone has had the same problem and figured out a solution, if we had some pictures I know we can figure it out.
