I need to put tires on my 2004 Tacoma and just checking to see what size and ply you guys are running on yours. I currently have 265/75R16 10 ply but I think I will switch to 4 ply Toyo AT lll as my truck will be mostly highway driven anyway, any thoughts?

Doesn't sound like you have a lift at all (totally fine) so stick with the size you have now. You could even drop down to 265/70/16 if you wanted (it was the stock tire size on the non-PreRunner/4WD tacos, PreRunners and 4WD came with 265/75/16). As for brand/type - look for an all season AT and slap them on.

Check here as there is plenty of info/chatter about the various brands.

IMO 265/75/16 is the sweet spot for size. Just enough bigger to look good with no real downsides. Any bigger and you need to modify the truck and you'll see noticeable loss of performance unless you go to the expense of a re-gear. In my experience one size smaller will often cost MORE than 265/75/16 since they sell less of them. 265/75/16 is a common and popular size.

Most people don't need E rated tires. If you do a lot of driving off road or on unimproved dirt roads they are a tougher tire that will hold up better. But they cost a lot more, ride rougher, and the added weight will make a noticeable difference in acceleration. But if you need them, the negatives are worth it.
