Nope, there is no open cover for the thermostat usint, I was looking for that very thing, and a couple AA or AAA batteries inside. The whole unit pops off the wall, there is no opening / cover/ door to the thermostat, it is a sealed unit. And has no batteries internally. The only screws on it anywhere are clearly marked "Do Not Remove Screw" and they are some very weird torx-like head, so I don't have anything that would remove them anyway.

Neither did I. Pretty much all I found is an Owners Manual for this model, and that is was discontinued long time ago, which makes sense as the house was built in 2006, and I am sure it is original from that time.

I'll call a local HVAC shop and see if they can send someone out.

 

They do have a fuse inside the furnace blower area. If no power is getting to the panel/thermostat. If theres power to thermostat id say the thermostat unit is dead

 

why not just go down to Home Depot and buy a cheap thermostat? You have the wire diagram. It'll be much cheaper than calling someone to come out and look at it if a new thermostat fixes it

 

Yes! That happened to us. One wire by the compressor/condenser rubbed through (or I hit it with the weed eater…) and it popped that spade fuse. Repair guy charged $10 for the fuse! I had a dozen in the garage!

 

But you didn't have a dozen of his fuses.
