Is the "single shot" classification the thing that exempts them from the microstamping requirement?

CA has used that requirement as a way to essentially ban any new automatics from the roster (why we can still only get 3rd gen Glocks in the state, for example), but they pretend they aren't really restricting much, or that it's a legit "safety" issue (even though it's tech which doesn't work well and nobody wants). Now that Prop 62 creates incentives for criminals (who generally use black market guns which cost half as much as the legal ones) to reload their own ammo, if microstamping worked and were widely used its utility as a law enforcement tool would be limited since so much shell casing evidence could end up with multiple numbers microstamped into them.

Just got back from the gun shop, bought a Glock 19. Actually I didn’t go out looking to buy a gun but just took a look to see what the had and before I knew it I’m the owner of a new 19. I recently bought a Glock 43x and love the gun but the 19 just feels good. I’m going to make that one of my carry guns. Can’t pick it up for 2 weeks (California) but can’t wait to take it to the range.

I like the size of the Glock 19.

I have a Glock 23 that identifies as a Glock 19 a lot of times.

Does that AW barrel work well for you? I got one for my G19, and I swear the POI dropped 3" and went 2" left relative to the factory barrel when I swapped it in. I've thought about using one of the G19 barrels in my G26 as well (get back a bit of the performance over the short barrel without adding significant bulk).

Only ran 50 rds in each barrel in the G19 that day (as well as another 100 rd through my G26), and the AW in the G19 was the last 50 I shot that day (after maybe 4 months away from the range), so I can't say for sure that fatigue wasn't a factor or maybe I was just getting a little careless for any number of other reasons.

Sig p365x is my current EDC. I added a Romeo Zero red dot as well. I’m really happy with it so far

Same here. I had to replace it a few months after getting it bc the original I bought was a defective unit. The battery died in 2 months. But after sig replaced it, I’ve had zero issues.

Definitely takes getting used to vs iron sights but man did it speed up my first shot speed and follow up/reload to target speeds. Not sure I’ll ever have another pistol without an optic of some sorts on it. And at $150 the zero is hard to beat.

Absolutely! Did you add anything to your Tacoma to hold your sig? Truck safe, holster, mount of some sort? I’ve been exploring different ideas on mounting my pistol while driving. Still have mixed feelings about it

Welllll my Tacoma is clapped out so I’m not afraid to put holes in it. So with the holster the canik came with I market the belt loop clips and used a dremel and made holes for the clips to go inside on my door pocket. Fits perfect. No on my Chevy, I didn’t want to put holes in it so I removed a plastic trim piece under the dash and retrofitted a holster under there. I don’t have pictures just yet but I can get some real quick. I also have a magnet mount that I love.

Ended up having to put two small holes for the magnet but I’m sure 3M tape would have held it just fine. The second picture is under my middle console. I just have the canik box in there and throw whatever pistols I want in there so I can lock it if need be. The last picture is with the factory canik holster mounted under the dash

None of the applicants who applied after the Bruen ruling last June in Alameda County have received their CCW yet. Alameda county also asks invasive questions like how many guns do you have, what is in your safe, serial numbers, etc. This is beyond the scope of the three handguns you register to your CCW. So nothing has changed in this county.

It was not a back door deal. It was a very legit front door deal with Sig supplying FA with the FCU's to offer an on-roster alternative. Hopefully, a P365 version is in the works for CCW. Congrats on the pre-order.

Sorry. That sucks. One of the many many reasons I moved out of the Bay Area.

Smart move. CCW policy is only one of the reasons to move away from the Bay Area. There are "other" reasons as well. I am plotting a move as well. Although it may be a few more years before I get to that point.
