All I can say is I recorded the Clash and probably enjoyed it more than others because I was able to fast forward through the bullshit. O and watching the 8 go to the back and come back through the field without wrecking anyone was pretty sweet.

 

Yeah he was looking good last night, it was pretty cool to see him let silver spoon go by to try to run down the #19 the last couple laps.

 

the 3 was faster than the 8 too. Not sure the 8 would let that happen again during a regular season points race.

I’m pretty sure there would have been a combo shot if the 3 caught the 19. 8 ball in the corner pocket followed by the 3 and the 19 would spin down the side rail.

 

He was pouting,like he was the first driver to ever get moved on a short track. He acts so entitled. It’s the reason I can’t stand him!!!!

 

He released a statement admitting to the mistake, taking responsibility. I'm glad he took the initiative to release a statement on the matter before it became a rumor mill issue.

 

Agreed! If the Mexican government wanted to make an example of him, he’d still be detained in a Mexican jail.

 

They tend to like money. I guess he was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison on top of a 27k peso fine. My guess is they probably accepted money in lieu of the prison sentence.

The stories I've heard from down there from multiple sources are enough to have me steer clear of ever going down there.

The media wants to make a big deal of this but it is actually really, really simple for anyone who has been around short track racing at all. The 23 was backing up the corner to take away the superior drive off that the 3 had. You can get away with that for a few laps but the 23 did not have the drive off and if he did not back up the corner then the 3 would get to his inside coming off of any turn. The only way to avoid that move at any 1/4 mile track is to do exactly as the 19 did and have the car to be able to drive away with enough clear track to not get held up. Regardless of who is leading in that scenario at that track for that event. They are getting moved if the following car can get to them.

 

The duels should be exciting on the 16th. Looks like several teams attempting to make the 500. I hope JJ has to use a provisional. LOL...
