Greetings, new member here. Prior owner of a ‘16 mgm Limited, ‘18 slvr TRDOR, and current ‘23 LR TRDOR. Gen 3 has been very good to me, thought I’d join b4 the 4th gen truck drops later this year.

Funny path: I traded the limited b/c I wanted an off road, then traded that off road when I had a chance to buy a ‘14 FJ. Drove the FJ a couple years, wanted to get back into a truck.

They look real sharp with those new headlights, the little tweaks like the power seat make these later years the best ones too

What a history of 3rd Gen ownership!

Reminds me of a friend we use to call "The BBD", or the 'Bigger Better Deal.'

Take that as a joke as I don't know why you traded up so often.

I've got just over 17K on my '21 Sport and I had to remove the Air Dam to install the TRD Skid. lol

Hard to believe I've had her 2 years this May 14, 2023--the OTT Tune makes it the best overall experience with 3rd Gen.

Congrats on your newer 3rd Gen!

No particular favorite actually. All reliable and drive pretty much the same. The ‘16 seemed just a little unfinished, ‘18 added some safety gear, and the current has pwr seats,CarPlay & LED’s.

And yet after all those years…Toyota still won’t give me a damn grab handle. Haha

The LED headlights have issues with wet snow and freezing rain….so not optimal for we Canadians.

I don’t recommend turning over trucks every couple years, and it’s definitely not my intent moving forward. In fact simple advice is do the opposite. I saw a couple people mention/joke about that and they’re generally correct.

First Taco wasn’t the right truck for me, life happens. Only traded the ‘18 Taco b/c I had an opportunity to drive an FJ. B/c of the used market at the time, I got a ridiculous good trade, and let me tell you, that FJ was as awesome as advertised. It also literally did not depreciate the entire time I had it, so no-brainer sliding back into my ‘23. Love it, also didn’t want to be a tester for the 4th gen, plan on handing the keys over to my son in 10+ years. Good to be back.
