Oh there will be some mods all right
Don't worry, I'm not judging. I only asked out of curiosity. This Tacoma I've been very adventurous in my purchases, aiming to be a little different and more practical than the average build (buying used stuff, knockoff stuff, and not well known/just released stuff) and was excited at the prospect of cheaper than the rest sliders :D

Not who you are asking but I run 235/85/16. They are effectively a 32" tire, widely available because they were the standard size on full size trucks for decades and and are currently on many duellys. With the already crappy gearing of our trucks, they don't run at the limits like a 33" and being an inch skinnier, they have a smaller frontal area for pushing mud/sand....

I didn’t take any install pics. Started it late and wanted to finish it before it got dark.

The pods just needed a 3/8 hole as I didn't flush mount them. The outlet took some crafting as I lost the provided template. Use a piece of cardboard, cut to fit the plug, then transferred the pattern to the inside of the back console panel. Figured I cut from the inside to keep from scratching up the front. Used a Dremel and razor blade to cut out the pattern.

    Stock. For now.
Are you still running this setup? Haven’t been through all the pages yet, but hitting you up anyways……. What trimming, cutting, bending, etc did you have to do for this wheel/tire setup? Also, what lift?

As long as the tread is good enough quality I see going to a less wide tire is better also. The only concern for me would be cornering and traction. And the amount of load that the tires can handle compared to their wider tires. it would probably be less since it has less rubber. But if that’s not a concern then it’s a great idea!

It’s via Bluetooth, and the Garmin app.
You download the video to phone
/computer and you can edit . That was just a 10sec clip from a longer drive. You can view camera live view from your phone while driving . Only issue I have is , I have wireless car play via Bluetooth and the Garmin is Bluetooth as well. So I have to turn off my head unit or it wants to connect and override the camera connection.
You can also take the camera of its mount and do all your downloads out of the truck, super easy. I bought the polarized lens for it and it helps with glare.

Contact areas are very similar because the narrower tire has a longer contact patch than the wider tire.

Installed these replacement radio knobs. I think they are the Rav4 knobs. Found this mod on here. Not a big deal but I do like the looks and they are easier to grab.

There is a very large thread called “the skinny on skinny tires” where one can read for hours….and hours…
I agree that the gross contact area under a tire won’t be too far off the vertical load the wheel is supporting divided by the tire pressure. Unless you have a lot of vertical acceleration, (bouncing) that’s not going to vary much.
