It really is, If I had the money I would've been tempted myself. @Sasquatch3153 was tempted too.

Honestly @EatSleepTundies&Bikes, if you bolt on some uca's and bilstein 8112s, along with 8100 rear shocks and deavers, or even Sua on the Tundra, it will be 15x better than your taco would for going quick in the desert. It will probably go better than most guys long travelled tacomas even though they wouldn't admit it. Plus it will have more space in the cab and the bed.

Just bolting in mid travel on the Tundra gets you around 12" of travel. Plus having close to 400hp makes a bigger difference than another inch of travel anyway.

I honestly don't know why desert guys even build tacomas when a Tundra is cheaper, more powerful, has more travel, and more space.

That thought has honestly crossed my mind, I can't remember if I shared that in here or not. I'd keep it SOA for simplicity but a nice bolt on mid travel kit would be a blast out on those mild roads. Maybe a low profile tube bumper and some 35s.

Message wheeleveryweekend on IG and buy your shocks from him. He has the same setup on his Tundra and I was blown away by how insane the 8112+soa/8100 were in the desert. He was blasting whoops in it and it was super fun.

If you buy them from him he'll probably tune them for you for free as well considering he already has them dialled on his truck. Let him know I sent ya

I wish. We sat until he was discharged and then booked him into jail. Just got back home.

@WormSquirts I'd love a Tundra. But already deep in the Tacoma. Plus the best mod of all, Paid off mod from a few years ago.
But, if something were to happen. Yea, I'd go Tundra or F150 or something fullsize.

    Whole lotta stuff
Now you’re talking. The progression into modding the tundra seems like a more logical and practical idea. I like @WormSquirts suggestion of mid travel front on 8112s and a mild SUA in the back. Bilstein’s upper tier shocks are secretly really good from what I hear.
