I have an Iceco 45qt rotomolded running from a Jackery 500. Been very pleased with it. I did a month on the road with it last summer. I like that you can fill it with ice if all else fails. If anything, it is a little bigger then I need. It's hard to appreciate how much room ice takes up in a cooler until you don't have it any more.

The most it ever pulls in eco mode is around 45 watts, iirc.

LOL thanks for the shout-out. Been very pleased with the ICECO VL45ProS. Price and quality are hard to beat.

Can confirm it doesn’t take much energy to run. Lots of room versus a cooler full of ice.

Purchased a ICECO 45 quart fridge (VL45ProS) about 8 months ago. Purchased directly from ICECO for $559. Very satisfied with the unit. Spends time in either a 4Runner of Tacoma so the reversible lid is great. Has a SECOP compressor. Would certainly purchase again. Was delivered in two days if I remember correctly and was very well protected with absolutely no damage what so ever.

Because it doesn't have or is not bluetooth controlled, I purchased a cheap indoor/outdoor thermometer with digital sensors so I could monitor the temperature on trips. Very handy to know what's going on.

Awesome timing with this thread, I been on the hunt for about a week now. So many options out there.

When you guys post your fridge can you also post what power box you're using. Brand and size please.

Currently have this one in my cart but really liking either the Iceco or the Bodega.

For whatever reason I feel like 20 inches is too tall.

This one has an 80 dollar coupon right now.

That is the fridge I just bought but mine is the 55L. So far works great. As noted before made Ice in about 3-4 hours from tap water. Dual zone worked smoothly. More use to come. It does not seem too tall to me. I have a platform in my truck built from the side slots for cross members in the bed and I can slide the fridge right out with the tailgate down under my cab rise shell rear hatch.

I really like my National luna dual zone 50-something liter. Perfect for me and one other for all my trips. Mounted to a base plate and wired through the camper to an aux battery under the hood.

My XOC came with an ICECO VL60 and I have run it in fridge-fridge and fridge-freezer full time for a 6 month stretch without issue. I was bummed it was shipped from Vorsheer to the dealer without the outer insulation blanket but whatevs. First world problems. I have 2 group 24F lead acids in the trailer and I could run the fridge - freezer at 32F & 0F for two days before I was at critical voltage.

I've been using a Truma unit that works pretty good, keeps the sandwich meat and 'sodas' pretty cool.

Kelly on the Adventure Built YouTube channel did a review of the Iceco VL60 that is worth taking a look at. Here is the title of the post:

Yea the Whynter FM-45G is basically the same unit.

I've had an Edgestar FP-430 since 2010. Except for the original (cheap) plastic hardware (handles, hinges), it's been great, and has excellent temperature uniformity. The newer Whynter units come with metal hardware, so that solves that issue right away. Looks like they're going for $519 and some change currently.
